This Chinese restaurant has Vietnamese speaking staff & has a variety of Asian dishes that are quite reasonably priced when you consider that most of the dishes are large enough to be shared by 3 to 4 people.
The best way to enjoy this restaurant is to order several different dishes & share with friends/family....
We were a table of 5 people & spent only about $120 for supper , which is quite acceptable.
This restaurant is located in Saint-Michel area, in this part of Montreal, the population are quite diverse, just like a United nations. It has free parking Infront of the restaurant & more free parking are available on the right hand side. The restaurant specialised in Chinese cuisne chiu chao style & Thai, it's clientel are mostly asian, what that means is this is a authentic chinese restaurant that serve authentic traditional dishes, it is a relatively big restaurant, its capacity is around 200 People, it's decor are simple & traditional, it has 20+ tables, most are bigger round table for the whole family. As for the food, we ordered 4 specialty dishes like Boneless chicken feet,Thai style, it is quite spicy & serve with alot of onion , coriander, shredded mini pepper & shallots, another dish is Tong choi (hollow vegetable) with fermented chinese cheese (fu yu), this one is ok, the third & fourth dishes that we ordered is the fresh clams in black bean sauce & boiled beef with house soya sauce, these two dishes both are excellent, our family had downed 2-3 bowls of steamed rice for that, overall the food is good, we really enjoyed it, I will recommend this restaurant for anyone that likes Chinese cuisne.
Been going to this restaurant for years now & when I venture out of downtown & have a craving for some of the best Korean & Thai food served in a truly unique environment, this is a gem that is worth the trip. We ordered Rouleau Impériaux, Kim Hour noodles (with shrimps), Beef & Chicken Thailandaise & the famous Fried Chicken Wings. All this was served piping hot & within 10 minutes the plates arrived. All the dishes were very tasty, hot & served in large plates. This is a nice place to go with friends & sit around a large circular table. It is a BYO wine & they serve hot tea with the meal. The menu is vast, only available in a plastified version that has seen better days. Interesting fact, the 15% gratuity is included in the price! It's a definite go & looking for my next visit:))
If you love South East Asian dishes you'll love the quality of this food. Every single dish we tried was delicious, flavourful & super fresh. I will definitely be back!
Meh! The food is ok, the service is mediocre, parking can be somewhat of a nightmare If you want to eat some Asian style dishes, it can pass - if you want better tasting Asian food, I would suggest Wing Phat which is not that far away
