About

Kazo Ramen centers its culinary focus on the artistry of authentic Japanese noodle soups and expertly prepared fried chicken. The menu showcases deep, complex broths simmered for extended periods to extract maximum flavor from pork bones and aromatic ingredients. Each bowl features perfectly cooked alkaline noodles that provide a distinct, firm texture essential for a traditional ramen experience. The karaage stands out as a signature item, characterized by a light, crispy batter that protects succulent meat seasoned with ginger and soy sauce. The interior aesthetic reflects a functional approach to casual dining, prioritizing efficiency and comfort for those seeking high-quality Japanese comfort food. This establishment operates with a singular dedication to mastering the technical balance of seasoning, temperature, and texture in every serving produced.

Review Summary

Kazo Ramen is widely regarded as a standout destination for authentic, creamy, and flavorful ramen in the area. Many visitors praise the tender, high-quality pork and the well-balanced, umami-rich broth that pairs perfectly with their variety of noodles. The atmosphere is frequently described as cozy, warm, and inviting, complemented by attentive and friendly service. While most patrons find the meals to be delicious, generous, and affordable, some recent feedback has noted concerns regarding portion sizes, rising costs, and the cleanliness of the restroom facilities. Overall, it remains a highly recommended spot for those seeking a satisfying Japanese dining experience with consistently fresh ingredients.

Very good, authentic-style ramen in LaSalle. Quality comparable to big chain ramen restaurants in Japan like Ichiran. About $20-25 (tax & tip included) for a bowl. Recommend getting an appetizer or extras. Sadly they recently changed to smaller portions, including smaller bowls & smaller cuts of cha shu. Flavor is still there though.

The beef noodle is more like'beef fat' noodle.
There's 7 slices of beef & four of them are just fat(I ate one to confirm that & almost throw up).

Nice little ramen place. The food was great its just that their bowls are too small compared to other restaurants. It has weird shape to look big but small at the same time.

Ordered through Uber the chicken ramen. Soup wasn't hot & there were 2 tiny little pieces of chicken in each bowl. Definitely not my favorite ramen & not worth the money

Undercooked food all around. Broth & noodles were okay, less than average but the undercooked chicken appetizer & eggs in the ramen (more than they should be) left us uneasy & unable to finish.
