Katoreya Sushi is widely recognized for serving fresh, delicious, and generously portioned sushi that consistently satisfies diners. Many guests appreciate the pleasant, bring your own wine atmosphere, which creates a comfortable setting for various group sizes. The menu offers a nice variety of tasty options, including gluten-free choices that are safe for those with celiac disease, and even unique selections like a pregnancy menu. While individual experiences can occasionally vary regarding service speed and responsiveness, the quality of the food and the overall dining environment remain highlights for many regular patrons.

Really enjoyed our dinner experience at this restaurant. The ambiance was calm & enjoyable. The staff was so sweet & delivered such great service. The sushi was so delicious (tried the special Sushi for two with an additional roll - the Besame) really good! Plus bring your own wine!

Cozy. Not a super high ceiling so sound doesn't bounce & echo everywhere so it's not noisy & we can hear each other easily. Food is excellent. Won Ton soup is really good. Sushi is very tasty, quality is excellent, many different choices & well presented. Very good tempura dishes. Excellent a la carte teriyaki dishes for those who don't likes sushi or fish. Have been dining at Katoreya many times over the last 8 years. Sometimes service slightly slow but it's still okay. Very nice waiters & waitresses. Added bonus. You can bring your own wine!

We came after the rush on Sunday evening. This is one of my favourite local places to go to, so I am immensely disappointed to write anything disappointing about this little 'resto". We all have bad days, & this probably was it. Upon arriving with my 22 year old daughter, the waiter seated us & placed 1 wine glass on the table. I guess he thought she was under age. He could have easily requested identification & we would have been happy to do so.
We ordered the sushi for 2, & it comes with a 'dragon eye' entree. It was cut so unevenly, placed in such a sloppy fashion that I had to wonder if this was the chef, or an assistant. The main plate had the usual 'chef's choice' of rolls, that were overly 'ricey' & not tightly packed. This was not consistent of what they usually serve. Our bill was $50 before tax, & it's a hard earned $50., not sure if we will return so quickly. :-(
