Review Summary

Katoreya Sushi provides a pleasant dining environment suitable for various group sizes, offering a diverse menu that includes tasty non-sushi options and a specialized pregnancy menu. While some diners praise the fresh, oversized rolls and safe gluten-free practices, others find the flavors somewhat repetitive or the price point less justifiable. Overall, guests appreciate the attentive service and the popular bring your own wine policy, though perceptions regarding the value and culinary wow factor remain mixed.

Looking for an authentic Japanese Sushi experience than here IT is. It's near the Airport & only 17-20 minutes from downtown Montreal. Relaxed atmosphere. Free parking. Katoreya is not only authentic but provides best Value & great selection & fish preparation styles ...equal to my Tokyo dining experience. Great Job chef & Katoreya Team.

Cozy. Not a super high ceiling so sound doesn't bounce & echo everywhere so it's not noisy & we can hear each other easily. Food is excellent. Won Ton soup is really good. Sushi is very tasty, quality is excellent, many different choices & well presented. Very good tempura dishes. Excellent a la carte teriyaki dishes for those who don't likes sushi or fish. Have been dining at Katoreya many times over the last 8 years. Sometimes service slightly slow but it's still okay. Very nice waiters & waitresses. Added bonus. You can bring your own wine!

DO NOT LET THE OTHER REVIEWS FOOL YOU. I was looking for a sushi restaurant that delivers & based on the reviews on this website, I opted to order from them. The food was delivered a little late but worst of all, the sushi was far from being anything but good. The fish was not fresh! I have eaten all types of sushi, from higher end to 'fast food' sushi & this has to be the worst sushi I have ever had in my entire life. Sorry Katoreya, but the most important ingredient in sushi is the fish!
