Sunday Night, we called the place to ask if we can still dine in if it was very late. they agreed & accommodated us with open arms, a true & authentic trait of a Filipino- VERY HOSPITABLE. the sunday night staff was very patient & accommodating even they had to stay over time. The kids enjoyed their letchon kawali sinigang, it was a hit for everybody. This is our to go to Asian cuisine resto in the west island. Will always recommend this great restaurant to everyone.
Worst Chicken Inasal dry hard & salty. But the rest is very good very tasty. Just not the chicken inasal.
I love to support Philippine cuisine but I must be honest here. The place is beautiful & very clean with lots of space. However, there was only one waitress & it took quite a bit of time to get served. (It's not her fault) However her personality was a little underwhelming as a Pinay & for a waitress. Didn't smile or acknowledge most of what we were saying to her. The shrimp was awful! It was severely over cooked & was soggy. The quality was very cheap & not acceptable. The lechon kawali was very dry. I would suggest they need to work on the freshness of their food & the quality. The BBQ chicken was excellent! The BBQ pork as well as the rice was pretty good. I would go back because I want them to succeed but I think they need to work on some things. Compared to Republika they have a long ways to go for taste, quality & freshness.
A small & cozy restaurant. While its menu may not boast an extensive array of choices, the 2 persons combo is highly rated & celebrated for its eyes-appealing presentation. Many dishes have somewhat similar taste to the Chinese dishes, but even for those who are familiar with Chinese food is still worthy to go
Bel endroit & personnel courtois mais le crispy pork belly est dur comme de la roche, impossible de croquer dedans 🥲 Les calmars sont bons :)
Rsvp for 12 people on Saturday, May 25th for 4:30pm. Cons Service: Server was not the quickest. She never came to ask us: How was everything? Is there anything else I can get you? Do you need containers for leftovers? We always had to go to her or flag her down.. Asides from that, they played happy birthday music & sung the birthday song for the celebrant which was a very kind gesture! Thank you! Halo-Halo was bland & in my opinion, not your typical Halo-Halo. There wasn't much shaved ice. Pros The food was delicious & fresh. Not too salty to which was great because Filipinos tend to over season their dishes. We ordered the following; - Kare-Kare: loved! Veggies we're cooked to perfection (nice & crisp. Not over cooked). Oxtail was dinger licking good. - Sisig: first time having it & loved it! Nice kick of spicyness. - Palabok: good & fresh but not my favorite - Eggroll: Piping hot, crispy & fresh! - Porc bbq: very good & flavorful. - Lechon: nice & crispy! - Fried calamari: delicous & not overcooked. - Steamed rice: Fresh batch! - Adobo rice: didn't get the chance to taste it. - A whole ube cheesecake: delectable! I couldn't stop eating it! It was so good! Overall, will definitely come back & order for catering! Thank you!
Fantastic flavours, a must visit. Servers were all so sweet, making it an overall very pleasant experience!
This is a true hidden gem in Montreal! We went to this restaurant for the first time & we were deeply impressed by the incredible cuisine! The environment was great & the tables were spacious. We were warmly welcomed. One of the problems was that the wait time might be a little long. However, the food was well worth it. The taste was incredible & not a single item on the menu disappointed us! The desserts are a must-try. We hope to return to this restaurant in the future to discover the marvels of Filipino cuisine.
For me, It's way too expensive for a regular size pusit inihaw $17 good for one person (about 4 inches) with no special seasoning.. my daughter ordered chicken inasal & it was not that good.. there's no rice or potatoes included, we need to pay another $9 for just the rice good for two...
Place is nice & clean, service was relatively fast. The food was delicious & full of flavor!🤩 We ordered the lumpiang shanghai rolls, the sizzling sisig & the chicken & veggies pancit bihon. The portions were very generous, more than enough for 2 people to share. Prices are fair for the quantity & flavor 👍🏻 This restaurant became one of my top favorites for filipino food & I absolutely recommend it! ☺️
Wait time: 2 hours. O star. The longest I have to sit in a restaurant waiting for my food in my entire life. They focus more on takeouts that they completely ignore the clients inside. Main course: 2 stars. We were served spoiled chicken inasal. The worst chicken I've ever had. Another record. Kare-kare was good on the first bite but couldn't finish it at the end - just way too much fat. Dessert: 3 stars. Haluhalu tastes so ordinary for the price. Meh. Won't be back for sure.
The lumpia were cold inside. Not fresh. & some of our dishes were lacking flavor. The dishes also had too much cooking oil
Food was amazing. the wait time for food was a bit long but worth it for the food.
The atmosphere was very clean, the service was friendly, & the food was delicious. The dessert was especially great.
Great Filipino cuisine on the West Island. We had the Lumpiang Shanghai pork rolls to start, which were perfectly deep fried & tasty. We ordered two meals & shared the huge portions family-style. We shared the Sizzling Sisig (a hot sizzling plate of tender tasty chopped pork) & the Kare-Kare (fall-apart oxtail in a rich peanut sauce). We also devoured the must-have delicious garlic fried rice. For dessert, we had the huge Halo-Halo & a Calamansi Leche Flan. The menu is more than typical, & the portions are shareable & delicious. A definite must-try for foodies.
Decided to try Kalapaw & it was 40% salty. We got several dishes as it's our first time to visit! We ordered the chicken inasal but it was disappointing. It was hard & salty, good thing it came with a vegetable salad to help with the saltiness. We also ordered sisig but it turned out salty, too! The kare kare, lechon kawali, calamares, sinigang, garlic rice were good tho! Overall, I recommend you to visit & try! :)
Great tasting Philipino cuisine at an affordable price & friendly staff.
