Went in tuesday august 25th. After seeing the videos on social media, instagram, FB, we decided let's try. Place is clean, but atmosphere is dead. No music, no 50s 60s music playing. Decor is very minimal. Unless we missed it, no jukebox. Thats a must, a replica jukebox at the entrance, & small jukeboxes at each table. More decor would also make the place pop. Gold records, more movie posters. The service was slow. Too many people just standing not in a rush to serve. Portions, very small, for the price. We had mac & cheese with bacon. & meat lovers poutine. Food was good, but at the price we paid, Portions should be improved. Not a repeat for us, unless they improve on service, & that retro decor vibe, which is sadly missing.
First impressions are very important & to us unfortunately was a fail.
I saw a promo on Instagram they had going, Sun through Thurs they had the James Dean burger with a milkshake for $20... well why not & took the family there on Thursday around 6h30pm.
Upon arrival we were greeted & seated promptly, I also asked the hostess if the promo was still on, she looked confused & said NO, also no where in the restaurant or on the menu any mention of the promo...few minutes later she came back saying, yes it was actually still on!
So we order 2 of the promo & 2 other burger plates...the shakes arrived & it was the worst shakes we have drank...it was like a cold chocolate milk, no consistency , spent in the blender way too long, actually 1 we did not even touch, if our waitress was well trained that should of been a red flag & should of asked us if there was something wrong with it... we left it as is & did not complain.
The plates arrived with cold fries & the promo plates had half the fries in it, its ok did not bother us since the kids never finish theirs, but don't call it James Dean promo, call it something else if you are going to modify the portions.
Waitress was friendly, restaurant had a nice vibe with the decor & all, many choices on the menu.
But with so many burger joints out there, it will be a pass for us for jukebox burgers.
I went to Jukebox for the first time expecting a normal meal & left wondering why the food was that good. It was genuinely unfair how flavorful everything was, ESPECIALLY the sweat heat burger. I'm still dreaming about it to this day. Also, shoutout to my server Georgia, whose presence elevated my entire evening. Super friendly, funny, & somehow she always seemed to show up at the perfect time! She even helped me pick my meal, & it ended up being the best thing I ate. Anyway,10/10, great food, great vibes, will come again.
A great 1950s style diner with that classic mid-century American snack bar atmosphere. The retro decor & vintage vibe really make the experience fun & unique. The burgers are excellent & definitely worth trying. The milkshakes are also very good but the sizes have decreased over the past years.
In terms of parking, since it's located in Centropolis, there's a huge parking area & it's usually easy to find a spot, even during busy hours.
Overall, a really nice place to enjoy classic diner-style food & a nostalgic atmosphere.
Very beautiful restaurant with a classic american aesthetic. The food is amazing & very instagrammable. The service is very fast. Anastasia was our server & she was so helpful, kind & patient to our questions. Overall great vibes.
We've been to the Jukebox Burger in the West Island before, but this was our first time trying the Laval location in Centropolis - & we had an even better experience here!
We came as a family & ordered the Gleason burger, Firebird sandwich, popcorn chicken, regular fries, waffle fries with spicy mayo, & a strawberry milkshake topped with whipped cream & confetti. Everything was delicious, fresh, & full of flavor. The portions were generous, & the presentation was fun, especially for the kids.
Big downside is that the burgers do not have enough sauce inside, so less flavor. Also, if you want a specific sauce, you have to pay an extra $.
The retro diner vibe is really cool, & the service was quick & super friendly. We're so glad we gave this location a try - it exceeded our expectations.
Highly recommend the Laval Jukebox Burger!
