Review Summary

Reviews of Java U Café show a mixed airport experience, with some travelers praising fresh coffee, fast service, and a wide range of food options, while others complain about price, inconsistency, and rudeness during busy periods. Coffee experiences range from solid and tasty to burnt milk and overly hot espresso, and orders can be forgotten at peak times even as the seating area remains pleasant and staff are often described as polite. Food gets mixed marks too, with some sandwiches and the Greek salad combo offered as good value, while others find items overpriced or mediocre and pastries noted as a highlight. Location near gates is convenient for travelers, but the airport pricing is a recurring theme. Overall, Java U Café is seen as a dependable quick stop for a coffee and bite, delivering memorable positives and service or quality hiccups that vary by visit.

Java U is a decent spot to grab a coffee & a sandwhich before grabbing a flight.

It's in the International gate area. The americano's are ok but they have a good amount of food options.

Obviously airport prices so you are paying out your ass for a coffee. I had a medium americano & a egg & cheese on a croissant for $22.

Its a reliable place everytime you are at YUL.

Total rip-off. I know airport food is not very good & overpriced, but this place is ridiculous. Stale bagels & coffee that tastes like pencil shavings, avoid this place.

I always go there when I'm flying out. It is close to Gate 1 after security, you can't miss it. It has plenty of choice for food from sandwich to croissant, muffin ect… You need it to tell them how exactly you want your food or coffee cause it can get busy & they can forgot half of the order. Most of the time staff is nice & professional.

Java U, is a welcoming place at Drpartures in Pierre Eliot Airport; provides a relaxing atmosphere, to relish their exquisite coffee, & eateries.

The staff was patient & kind.
I had a good experience getting my
iced vanilla late as well as an iced chai latte.
Both were very good.
A solid spot for coffee at the airport. ☕?
Don't forget the pastries 🥮:)

I had a lovely experience at Java U in the Montreal Departure Airport. While waiting for my flight, I stopped by for a coffee, & I really appreciated that they made it fresh, right at the last minute-it made all the difference. The taste was excellent, & it felt like a small comfort during travel. Even more special was getting to enjoy it while spending time with my parents before departing. Thanks to the team at Java U for a great cup & a meaningful moment.

Overpriced sandwiches.
Coffee is good.
But a breakfast croissant 12CAD, c'mon-la.

Was ok for a quick bite to eat before the flight. Had BLT which was ok, probably shouldn't have had it toasted as it was a blend of warm & cool content. Coffee good.

Keep it simple here. Get the drip coffee & toasted bagel & cream cheese. Don't get your hopes up about the rest. The service is efficient & direct. Go see Dr Phil if you need to have someone make you feel good.

Slow & disorganized. Scald the milk. Very poor coffee. Not to mention 12$ for a breakfast croissant which seems standard usury prices for the airport
