The service was friendly & efficient. There are vegetarian sushi & Bento options. The Bento boxes were presented beautifully & there were some uncommon items like lettuce leaf in my sushi roll & cucumber & potato tempura. The veg Bento was about $30, which was quite a higher price for the quality of the food, but in this case I guess the price is to reflect the experience of the atmosphere. Overall, the experience was okay.View more

Ordered to go but the service was great anyway. Very good quality sushi & the portion sizes are not enormous but that was expected.View more
Authentic Japanese restaurant. Really fresh. Quality fish & rice. Nothing compared to the other ones that just wants to sell a ball of low quality rice with a little bit of some cheap fish inside. This place is real.View more
I visited Japan a couple years ago & this was my most authentic experience since then! Low key but perfect & so welcoming. The food was obviously, amazing!View more
Ambiance typique japonaise. Musique douce japonaise. Service impeccable. Meilleur sushi que j'ai mangé à Montréal & je suis montréalaise d'origine & suis fervente de sushi. J'ai pris le Happy Combo avec sushi & sashimi. Je recommande fortement & reviendrai assurément!View more

This might have been the single best sushi experience I have had in Montreal. The lunch combo I ordered came with miso soup, small salad, tempura, sashimi, nigiri, hoso & futo Maki's, green tea & ice cream. The miso soup was cloudly, perfectly hot & flavorful. The tempura included shrimp, zucchini, eggplant & sweet potato all expertly fried, light & had no greasiness to them at all. The sashimi was a good variety of tuna, salmon & snapper. All of which were fresh & clean tasting. The nigiri were very well prepared with perfectly seasoned rice & wasabi used in the perfect proportion. Rolls were varied & balanced with different textures & flavors. The meal was finished off with hot tea & green tea ice cream. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The meal was paced very well by the waiter & it was nice to feel so taken care of. Including a diet coke, all this was had for the incredible price of $34.49 including taxes. For the quality of the food & the experience, I cannot recommend Sakura enough.View more
Mon restaurant japonais préféré depuis 1995. Repas délicieux & authentiques (bento, soba, sushi sashimi, shabu shabu), excellent service & thé. Arigato Mamasan.View more

Best Japanese authentic food in north America! My japanese husband is always amazed by the quality of the food (he's super picky & particular so that's high praise coming from him). The staff is super nice as well! I recommend the shabu set for 2 people & the sake miso udon. Amazing food!! We love you!View more
relaxed little sushi spot I went to for the first time since it moved from the old Katsura. Our friends are not huge sushi fans but loved the steak on their daily specials which seem to generally be good deals. They also shared a sukiyaki that they are still talking about. My date & I had an assortmentof sushi that as an ex-vancouverite I can say was all very skillfully preparded & fresh.
