Jack Le Coq is widely praised for its fried chicken, with many reviewers noting juicy, crispy chicken and a standout poutine, along with generous portions of tenders and fries and a range of sauces that keep flavors lively. The atmosphere is described as warm and retro, and service is generally quick, friendly, and the space is kept clean, making it a reliable choice for chicken lovers in Verdun. While the chicken quality is celebrated, some reviews point to price increases and occasional inconsistency in texture or flavor, changes after ownership shifts, and issues with orders such as missing items, delivery glitches, or fries going cold. Some diners prefer spicy styles like Nashville and report that the regular version can be bland without added heat, though others praise the bold sauces and the variety of menu options including burgers and mac and cheese. Overall, Jack Le Coq is viewed as a standout option for fried chicken in the area, though a few guests feel value has diminished on recent visits.
Get the tenders with onion rings, nothing better on the menu, w the honey mustard.
Just don't get the gravy or fried chicken pieces ngl.
Seasoning is mid, sauce is tasteless.
Chicken tenders peak.
The place looks nice, the food is good but not the atmosphere that it was weird. Many peculiar people were coming in & out, talking to the costumer, making us uncomfortable so we could not enjoy our food & making it a bad experience.
I flocked to google immediately after having the feeling the owners of this location had changed. Seems from the other reviews that is correct.
The chicken was undercooked & i was told it was just'juicy'. They fixed this issue but the chicken doesn't taste as it used to. Also, the new crinkle fries are a flop. We'll be looking for a new chicken place ☹?.

I recently ordered the Sandwich Jack Classique combo, & my experience was quite mixed.
**Fries:** 1/10 - Unfortunately, they were cold & stale, which was a letdown.
**Burger:** 7/10 - On a positive note, the burger was made with fresh ingredients, & I appreciated that.
However, I found it surprising that a small cup of spicy mayo cost $1.45.
I had high hopes when I heard Jack le Coq was opening in Laval, but my visit left me disappointed. I also recall that the location in Verdun offered waffle fries, so I'm unsure why they opted for the frozen McCain lookalike fries this time.
