Got the bulgogi beef bbq plate & it came with a miso soup, korean appetizers (kimchi, seaweed, mushroom) & rice. Huge portion & the flavours were phenomenal, will definitely be back!View more
We came to Itaewon Korean restaurant in Montreal based on Google reviews, & it did not disappoint. The space isn't overly big, but the layout feels cozy & welcoming. When we arrived, it was about half full-just the right level of busy. My girlfriend & I ordered the bibimbap & spicy soft tofu soup, & we also shared the tteokkgangjeong (which I will not attempt to pronounce). Everything was absolutely delicious.
The bibimbap was perfectly balanced with crisp vegetables & a rich flavour. The soft tofu soup was warm, spicy, & comforting. The tteokkgangjeong-fried rice cakes coated in a spicy & sweet sauce-were a real highlight, chewy & packed with flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, & made the whole experience feel relaxed & pleasant. Service was efficient without ever feeling rushed. We left full & already looking forward to our next visit. Itaewon really nails it for authentic, satisfying Korean cuisine in Montreal.View more
First time here & enjoyed the fried chicken & fries, crispy pork dumplings & seafood pancake & rice. Service was friendly & nice 👍View more
Their food was way too salty... i had their spicy soft tofu soup with pork & boy the white rice didnt even help...
The food was so salty that we had to ask for 3-4 pitcher of water to wash the saltiness...
There was only 2 waiter working a friday night... which sounds just crazy.... so the service was slow & horrible...
We waited for ages just to get our bill...
But the decoration & the drinks were decentView more
I am so sorry to write this review but this was actually terrible food. I don't even mean terrible Korean food but just terrible food in general. Aside from having to wait forever to order because there was just one server, the rosé ttoekbokki was awful. Just from loving the rice cakes around, I knew they were super overcooked. & I was right. It tasted like ranch was drizzled on-top, the fish cake tasted way too fishy, & the sausage was inedible. I don't understand how this restaurant has such high ratings when there are so many other amazing restaurants in this city with amazing Korean food. The Mandu were good but not enough for me to eat here ever again.View more
