Overall, Itaewon MTL is widely praised for authentic Korean flavors, generous portions, and friendly, attentive service, with highlights including bulgogi, tteokbokki, japchae, bibimbap, and fried chicken, all described as fresh, well balanced and satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the decor is cute, and the staff are typically helpful, making it a popular choice for both solo diners and groups at reasonable prices. A few notes mention dishes arriving a bit salty or not as hot as expected, and one takeout experience suffered from delays that left items cold, but dine in visits generally shine with speed and quality. Overall it is regarded as a solid option for Korean cuisine in Montreal, with many guests saying they would return to try more dishes and recommend Itaewon MTL to others.
Really solid Korean spot. The bibimbap was fresh & flavorful, with perfectly cooked veggies, crispy bits of meat, & a runny egg that tied everything together. The miso soup & kimchi on the side were a great touch & tasted authentic. Portions were satisfying & the presentation was on point. Definitely a place I'd come back to if you're craving a comforting, well-balanced meal.

Needed lunch when I arrived & Korean sounded delicious. While I personally prefer dolsot bibimbap this was perfectly delivered. Almost went back for dinner a few nights later. Staff was friendly & menu was bilingual (helpful not having to ask for one in English, if needed).
Somme toute, j'y retournerais.

Got so tired from my flight & I needed a nearby meal before it gets dark. Checked the nearby Asian restaurants but didn't like the menu, walking further I saw this restaurant. I checked & it has high ratings but I didn't expect it to be soo good. I ordered bibimbap, no I'm not an expert but I loved the veggies & the sauce & the meat!!! I wonder if it's served like that in Korea too 🤗
Highly recommend the yangnyum chicken! Also, got the bibimbap (classic) & lychee soju (loved it) for 2 people, more than enough food. The only cons were the wait to be seated was probably 30 - 45 mins (recommend making a reso) & was seated in a high traffic area. But the staff & food were so great that it was worth it. When I come back to Montreal, definitely coming back here.
Visiting from west coast, US with great Korean restaurants. Itaewon surprisingly great restaurant & all the food was very tasty. Especially the fried chicken, bibimbap. Could have used some bonchon, but not super necessary.
We came to Itaewon Korean restaurant in Montreal based on Google reviews, & it did not disappoint. The space isn't overly big, but the layout feels cozy & welcoming. When we arrived, it was about half full-just the right level of busy. My girlfriend & I ordered the bibimbap & spicy soft tofu soup, & we also shared the tteokkgangjeong (which I will not attempt to pronounce). Everything was absolutely delicious.
The bibimbap was perfectly balanced with crisp vegetables & a rich flavour. The soft tofu soup was warm, spicy, & comforting. The tteokkgangjeong-fried rice cakes coated in a spicy & sweet sauce-were a real highlight, chewy & packed with flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, & made the whole experience feel relaxed & pleasant. Service was efficient without ever feeling rushed. We left full & already looking forward to our next visit. Itaewon really nails it for authentic, satisfying Korean cuisine in Montreal.
