Fantastic birthday brunch experience!

Lovely fusion menu selection for brunch, keeping authentic Indian flavors while adding a modern Canadian twist. Note the portions are HUGE- which is great, but with such a vibrant menu, we of course wanted to try everything :D

Favorites: Butter chicken benny (one of the best I've had!) & lamb grilled cheese.
Chicken & waffles were pretty good & worth trying.
Can pass on the bagel. I do wish there was more variety with the sauce accompanying the dishes. It seemed that every dish we tried had the same mustard-based sauce.

Service was great. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, & very attentive. However, the food took a while to come out so just beware of you are on a time crunch. Overall, great weekend brunch!!

A very underwhelming experience. I had reserved for 5 people for dinner. When we got there we were seated at table meant for 4 people to begin with. I had to request to switch to a larger table as there was no way 5 of us could have had comfortable dinner at that table. Then we ordered both our drinks including mango lassi, starters & main course with naan together. We got the drinks except mango lassi & starters along with the naan before the main course sabzi dishes. Who serves naan before the sabzi dishes at an Indian restaurant?Then we waited & waited & waited & waited… Even couple of other servers one of whom seemed like a senior guy wondered about us that we could see in the background. Finally we asked Noah, our server when he was passing by & he was surprised that we had not received our food?!?!
So finally we get our food & if the food would have been good it would have made up for everything else. But food was mediocre at best. We had ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala & malai kofta for the main course & I have had way better food than what was served. Even a hole in the wall small restaurant called Little India cafe in Ottawa would give India Rosa a run for their money. If this is the Indian food that you guys get in Montreal then you should definitely make a trip to Ottawa's Little India Cafe.
They also forgot to serve the mango lassi that we had ordered completely. We did not even realize it till the end when my mother in law pointed it out for whom it was meant.
& this was the restaurant that was highly recommended to us by an acquaintance.
Very disappointed!!!!!!
The only silver lining was our waiter Noah!

I don't often write reviews, but this restaurant truly deserves one.
I work long hours, & it is rare for me to have even one or two days off. On this Monday evening, around 9:00 PM, my husband & I were searching for somewhere to eat. Most restaurants were already closing, & many of the places nearby were ones we had visited before. When we came across this restaurant, it was one of the few places that still had guests dining & a kitchen that was still open, so we decided to give it a try.
To be honest, I wasn't expecting much. I have been disappointed by many dining experiences in the past, so my expectations were quite low.
Unfortunately, our first impression was not the best. We were initially seated beside a metal fence, & I accidentally hit my head on it twice. The staff member who seated us laughed, which made the situation feel uncomfortable rather than welcoming. I asked if we could move to another table, & we were relocated to a lovely spot by the window.
Thankfully, everything that followed was exceptional.
Our server was outstanding. She was patient, attentive, & genuinely professional. Despite my less-than-positive mood after the initial experience, she remained warm & helpful throughout the evening. She explained the menu clearly, offered thoughtful recommendations, & made us feel well cared for.
The food was the highlight of the night. We ordered several dishes, & every single one impressed us. The presentation was beautiful, the flavors were balanced & memorable, & it was clear that great care had gone into every plate. It is not often that a meal exceeds my expectations, but this one certainly did.
By the end of our dinner, I knew I wanted to leave a review. Great restaurants deserve recognition, & this is one of them. While I hope the management addresses the issue of making guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive, the quality of the food & the professionalism of the service more than made up for that unfortunate first impression.
Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. What began as a disappointing search for dinner turned into one of the most enjoyable meals I've had in a long time. We will gladly return.

Had an amazing brunch/lunch experience at India Rosa on Mont-Royal in Montreal! The atmosphere was stylish, vibrant, & welcoming from the moment we walked in. We ordered a mix of brunch dishes, mains, cocktails, & coffee - everything was beautifully presented & packed with flavor.

The Butter Chicken Benny was absolutely delicious, rich & comforting with a creative twist. The Grilled Paneer dish was perfectly seasoned, & the Lamb Curry Benny was outstanding - tender, flavorful, & unique. The Omelette du Rosa was fresh & satisfying, while the cocktails (Gecko Mule & Tiki Namaste) were refreshing & expertly crafted. Even the macchiato was excellent to finish the meal.

Service was attentive & friendly, & the overall dining experience felt upscale yet relaxed. Perfect spot for brunch, cocktails, or a fun meal with friends in the Plateau area. Highly recommend for anyone looking for modern Indian fusion cuisine in Montreal! Will definitely be back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food was overpriced & I was disappointed it didn't even include rice. We got the butter chicken & cod, the dishes were ok, but didn't feel elevated or elaborate for what you'd expect for the price, ambience, & a special occasion. The taste was very ordinary, like what I'd order in any food delivery app. The server forgot about us, my drink was late & when it arrived it was watery & tasteless with hardly any alcohol.

The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, perfect for a date or a nice dinner out. The service was excellent, & the cocktails were good.

However, we found the food a bit underwhelming. The dishes were quite basic, & the lamb biryani in particular was disappointing; the lamb wasn't tender as expected.

Back for round two & once again, everything was perfect! The dishes are consistently tasty, & the team is always welcoming. Can't wait for visit number three!

As always, the food was excellent. The only downside, which is why I'm writing this review, is that this is the second time I've visited in a group of five & we were seated at a table for four. Being an Indian restaurant, this usually involves many shared dishes, so table space is a significant factor.

That being said, I still highly recommend this delicious restaurant where the cocktails & dishes are consistently great!

Has gluten free options. Rosa's Omelet was alright, not too much lamb. The sauces on all the dishes were good though.
