Overall, India Rosa Plateau emerges as a go-to Montreal spot for a modern take on Indian flavors with a refined, convivial vibe.
The food was absolutely incredible!! The staff was so friendly & I loved the recommendations they gave. The restaurant has a lovely vibe & it is affordable! The butter chicken & the paneer butter masala were phenomenal! Highly recommend!
Great brunch options, chicken + waffles is a surprisingly good combo. Prices are a bit on the high end considering portion sizes, but at least it's original.

Great restaurant- visited during valentine day- i had no idea we booked a bar seat instead of table. We were served by Anais. Great smile & had an awesome experience. Food was great but the lamb could've had a bit more meat. The chicken tikka was the best! The portion of rice was small, the naan was overpriced. I would recommend definitely!
Best chicken & waffles I have ever had. I've been coming here for years for dinner but first time I had the brunch. UNREAL!! Worth every penny. Great service too!
We were a bit impressed by the interior decorations but once we were seated, we were right next to the windows & it was so cold. There was a draft of cold wind which was not pleasant but we had a nice view which balances it out. The service was pretty friendly & welcoming which was nice as well. I feel like the food was a bit expensive, especially for the small portions but they ended up being quite filling. It was around 31$ for the seafood plate & 28$ for the butter chicken. The taste itself was pretty pleasant. Out of the many Indian restaurants I tried, I really enjoyed the combinations of flavors they had, especially with their butter chicken. The addition of the sourness from the tomatoes was really great & made it pair so well with the Nan bread.
My favorite indian restaurant in Montreal! I always go for the onion bhajis with the butter chicken plate & the garlic naan bread - the food is so flavourful & delicious! I adore their cocktails as well, they also have hands down the best grenadine as their shirley temple is simply the best one I've ever had in my life!
We were a group of 6 & enjoyed rhe atmosphere of thus stylish restaurant. The tapas were amazing, my cocktail quute decent.
However the main dish was found lacking, as my chicken was bland, displaying no sign of having taken in any of the savour of the sauce.
A bit of a shame & a novelty for me, since this was not my first time here.

India Rosa does some genuinely great food, especially for brunch. The Indian-inspired chicken & waffles is one of the best versions I've had: crispy, well-seasoned chicken paired with spiced waffles & sauces that are thoughtful & well-balanced. The Indian twist isn't a gimmick, it genuinely elevates the dish. I've been twice for brunch, & from a food perspective, it's been consistently strong.
Unfortunately, the service significantly drags the experience down. Both visits stretched well past an hour & a half despite the restaurant being far from full. Coffee ordered at the start of the meal arrived after the food was finished, & staff were often gathered near the bar while tables waited.
Montreal isn't exactly known for standout service, but this was notably below average, even by local standards.
Great food, frustrating execution. If the front-of-house matched the kitchen, this would easily be a four or five-star restaurant. As it stands, it's a three.
We ordered several dishes, & honestly, the butter chicken was the one we were most excited about. Unfortunately, the other chicken dish we tried, the chicken tikka masala, did not meet our expectations. I was expecting more. On the other hand, the garlic naan was absolutely delicious. The cheese naan was not as good, as the cheese was very mushy & lacked texture. I would definitely go back for the garlic naan with the butter chicken. For drinks, we ordered pisco sours, which were also very delicious. The restaurant is super cozy, very pretty, & welcoming. Without a doubt, we would return, but to order the butter chicken, not the chicken tikka masala.
A must visit for Indian food! I got the $39 lunch menu- choice of salad/ soup, butter chicken, rice/ naan, dessert gulab jumun/ mango sorbet.
10/10 food
10/10 service - super super friendly host & server
Visiting Montreal with my wife for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary & saw this recommended by a few people on reddit. Probably the best, most unique meal we've had this weekend & the experience was just a really cool, chill, hip vibe. Really good music & ambience. Our waiter was really friendly & helpful, & recommended two incredible dishes (Chicken & Waffles & a Butter Chicken dish) that blew our minds!!
Highly, highly, recommend!!! We're so happy we found this place!
Had brunch last Sunday & loved the food, new flavors, really a real Indian fusion for the typical mtl brunch. The gaufres & chicken was perfect. My only complaint was about the chai, expected a real chai…
What a fantastic place for a late brunch. We were a group of 3 friends with a 1:30pm reservation, more relaxed atmosphere, less frenzied. Excellent service from our server Thomas & company. We had the chicken & waffles (huge portion, crisp chicken cutlets with lime/cashew curry sauce?, savory waffles with spiced syrup), Tikka chicken club sandwich (juicy, tasty chicken), & a pancake stack with fruit & yogurt - all delicious. For drinks, we had chai latte, an Americano, & an excellent mango lassi. For dessert, we had a silky chai tiramisu & a fresh fruit cup. The vibe is easy, cool & chic. I will be back for sure. This is Indian fusion lifting brunch classics to a new level with subtle hints of Indian cuisine.
Wanting to shake up your brunch game? India Rosa is the place. Great brunch menu all with the Indian twist. We (2) chose two plates that we shared. We were not disappointed by either. Food was outstanding. We had the butter chicken Benedict & the lamb grilled cheese.

The decor is extremely well done. It feels modern & creative without being trendy. We had all four drinks off the tiki menu, each was delicious, complex, & garnished beautifully. Seriously some of the best drinks I've ever had.
The food is just as stellar, we had the brunch. Chicken & waffles, butter chicken Benedict, & salmon tikka bread were all very tasty.
Had an amazing lunch at this restaurant. We shared shrimp malai, chicken tandoori tikka, beet salad, a garlic naan & dahi puri. Wonderful friendly service too. Their Griffintown IPA blond ale was also delicious. On a hot day this place was a treat.
Indian Rosa clearly aims for a top-tier dining experience, & their amazing decor certainly sets the stage. However, our recent visit revealed significant shortcomings that suggest their ambition isn't matched by their execution or management.
Things started off on the wrong foot when our order of raita was mistakenly served as bhartha. While a simple error, it was a precursor to more significant issues with the food itself. Both the butter chicken & saag paneer were extremely sweet, & the overall masala flavor was noticeably off. We asked them to remake the dishes, hoping for improvement. Unfortunately, it seemed they simply added more degi Mirch instead of hari Mirch, resulting in a'meh' taste that did little to rectify the initial problems.
The service further deteriorated when it came time to get the bill. There was a big delay because another table was apparently having an issue paying. What was most frustrating was the lack of managerial support in resolving this. A manager should have stepped in to support their servers & ensure the rest of the diners weren't impacted. This incident highlighted a clear flaw in their management structure, which falls well short of what's needed for a restaurant striving for top-tier status.
While the ambiance is impressive, the missteps in the kitchen & the apparent managerial inefficiencies unfortunately overshadowed any positive aspects of our visit.
I visited India Rosa with a friend for brunch, & as a self-proclaimed eggs Benedict snob, I think I've found my new favorite way to eat it. The cozy atmosphere & unique take on brunch classics had me excited from the start, & the dishes we tried were nothing short of delicious.

In depth review
The Menu:
India Rosa brings an exciting fusion of Indian flavors into traditional brunch dishes. Each plate is beautifully crafted, with bold spices & creative combinations that make you think differently about brunch.
Our Picks:
• Bene Butter Chicken: As an eggs Benedict enthusiast, I was blown away by this dish. The rich butter chicken was served on soft brioche bread, & the addition of cashew nuts, fried onions, Brussels sprouts, green peas, & sorrel sprouts created an incredible mix of textures & flavors. I honestly think I've found a new way to enjoy eggs Benedict-this twist had me hooked!
• Chicken & Waffles: The masala waffles were light & full of flavor, paired with fried tandoori chicken that was crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. The cari & lime sour sauce added a tangy kick, while the spiced honey & cashews brought the perfect balance of sweet & savory. It was a dish that kept surprising me with each bite.
• Rosa's French Toast: Coated in panko crumbs & five Indian spices, this French toast had a crispy, spiced exterior that made it stand out from the usual. Topped with fresh fruit, maple caramel, lime yogurt, & maple syrup, it was a decadent, yet light treat. The flavors melded together perfectly, making it a must-try.
Service:
The service was friendly, efficient, & knowledgeable. Our server was more than happy to help us navigate the menu, & the food came out at a perfect pace. The staff made us feel right at home, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Pricing:
While India Rosa is a bit on the pricier side for brunch, the creativity behind the dishes & the quality of the ingredients make it worth every penny. We spent about $50 per person for three dishes & drinks, & considering the generous portions & unique flavors, it's definitely a splurge worth taking.
Final Thoughts:
India Rosa offers a brunch experience that's truly one-of-a-kind in Montreal. The combination of Indian spices with classic brunch dishes is bold & inventive. Whether you're an eggs Benedict aficionado or just looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit.
Pros:
• Innovative takes on brunch classics with bold, flavorful spices
• Cozy, inviting atmosphere
• Friendly & attentive service
Cons:
• Slightly on the pricier side, but the quality makes it worthwhile
If you're looking for a fresh & exciting brunch experience, India Rosa will definitely satisfy your cravings. I'll be coming back for more, especially that Bene Butter Chicken-it's a game changer!
