That was our main motivation behind the India Rosa concept.

Great restaurant- visited during valentine day- i had no idea we booked a bar seat instead of table. We were served by Anais. Great smile & had an awesome experience. Food was great but the lamb could've had a bit more meat. The chicken tikka was the best! The portion of rice was small, the naan was overpriced. I would recommend definitely!
India Rosa does some genuinely great food, especially for brunch. The Indian-inspired chicken & waffles is one of the best versions I've had: crispy, well-seasoned chicken paired with spiced waffles & sauces that are thoughtful & well-balanced. The Indian twist isn't a gimmick, it genuinely elevates the dish. I've been twice for brunch, & from a food perspective, it's been consistently strong.
Unfortunately, the service significantly drags the experience down. Both visits stretched well past an hour & a half despite the restaurant being far from full. Coffee ordered at the start of the meal arrived after the food was finished, & staff were often gathered near the bar while tables waited.
Montreal isn't exactly known for standout service, but this was notably below average, even by local standards.
Great food, frustrating execution. If the front-of-house matched the kitchen, this would easily be a four or five-star restaurant. As it stands, it's a three.

We made reservations to celebrate a birthday. We were seated in 4 spots on a bar that overlooked the kitchen. It took literally 15 minutes for a server to acknowledge us & even fill water. After that service was good although the kitchen did make a mistake in 1 dish (but fixed it promptly ). Food was good but the evening was spoiled. I wish they had told us when we made the reservation they didn't have table space - would have reserved elsewhere.
I went for dinner last night with my 2 friends, it was our last night in Montreal. The food, service, & atmosphere were excellent. A great way to begin your night out. Denis the waiter was amazing & deserves a raise; he treated my friends & me amazingly. He was very nice, answered all our questions thoroughly, provided excellent vibes & insight, & was easy-going. The bartender, I forgot his name unfortunately, made amazing cocktails & was also super nice & respectful.
A real gem of a restaurant in Griffintown. Great super tasty food with a terrific atmosphere & really solid bar. A very rare combination for this type of restaurant. Will definitely be going back.

This is my first time that i went to India Rosa mont royal situated near the metro mont royal. Easily get the restaurant by seven to eight minutes walk or by bus which drops you just Infront of the restaurant.
It was quite a good place for all whether they are vegetarian or non vegetarian.The prices are also moderate & the bar also has a separate place. The atmosphere is so calming & quiet too.
I just tried a couple of things but they were good in taste.

Mon amoureux & moi étions assis au bar & on a passé un super moment. Un énorme merci à Luna qui nous a servis avec tellement d'enthousiasme, elle était vraiment géniale & accueillante!
À la base, on venait juste pour un cocktail… & finalement, on s'est laissés tenter par deux tapas. Aucune déception : c'était vraiment délicieux, super bien assaisonné, hyper frais, les saveurs exceptionnelles. & les cocktails… wow ! Celui au mezcal m'a complètement fait craquer.
L'accueil de Luna & l'ambiance du resto nous ont mis tout de suite à l'aise. C'est sûr, on va revenir !
Après 5-6 visites, toujours à la recherche d'un bon service. Le personnel qui nous a servie les dernières fois étaient assez froid. Changement de shift sans nous avertir, notre serveuse disparaît pour la soirées sans nous avertir, verre d'eau vide pendant 30 minutes, Attente de 10 minutes pour payer quand elle est au courant qu'on voulait payer & préfère jaser au bar avec ses collègues. Par contre, la nourriture est excellente & les drinks sont incroyable, ce qui fait que j'y retourne quand même.
The food & service was excellent. But we were sitting on Mlle Rosa side, group of 6, & the tables are small & round, there was barely any room for all the plates to share, naan baskets, a bucket for the wine, etc. It was very tight.
Je suis allée souper pour la première fois samedi. Nous avons adoré l'ambiance, les plats étaient exquis (le jarret d'agneau, le pain Naan a l'ail & le riz) étaient renversants & le service excellent. La demoiselle au bar (Jeana) qui nous servait, était sympathique, polie, articulée & nous a fait des cocktails divins & tellement beaux. Le service est personnalisé, nous avons été aux petits soins. J'ai hâte d'y retourner.

Bien mais.. Nous venons depuis des années mais malheureusement la qualité de service diminue .. Nous avons était installé au bar alors que pendant tout le temps de notre présence un minimum de 4 tables étaient libres. (Nous avions demandé une table) Rupture de stock de la totalité de smoothies un samedi à 12h30. En plus de ça on ne vous prévient pas à l'avance .. on vous laisse commander pour vous annoncer qu'on a plus tel cocktail.. on en commande un autre & il n'y en a plus non plus.. Service à revoir 5 serveurs qui s'ennuient donc rigolent & tourne en rond au bar donc juste à côté de nous .. Niveau hygiène moyen, les cheveux détachés . Un serveur a littéralement passé son temps à passer ses mains dans ses cheveux, relevé son pantalon sans ceinture & même éternué dans ses mains sans aller les laver ? Bref au vu de la qualité de l'établissement il faudrait peut être revoir certains fondamentaux.
Service minutieux, attentionné, impeccable. Si vous avez la chance, choisissez une place au bar & appréciez le professionnalisme de Kevin, un passionné comme on n'en voit peu. Cocktail phénoménal & nourriture vraiment délicieuse. Une Expérience mémorable!
Pour souper. Un 4 pour la nourriture (portions assez petites pour le prix), un 0 pour l'ambiance. Mais c'est quoi cette idée & mode de mettre la musique à fond dans un restaurant? Ce n'est pas un bar & tout le monde crie. Heureusement, il faisait encore assez beau pour être sur la terrasse, même si nous avons eu un peu froid. Nous l'avons mentionné à la serveuse & elle dit qu'elle reçoit aussi beaucoup de plaintes sur le bruit, qu'elle rapporte mais rien n'y fait. Dommage car je n'y retournerai pas même si la nourriture en vaut la peine. Au prix élevé des repas servis, je veux une ambiance plus calme où on peut s'entendre parle
Everything was great!! The food was fantastic & the drinks were excellent!!! Tela the bartender & her service team was great! Will definitely be back again!!
