I really wanted to give India Rosa a 5-star review. At one point, we were probably closer to 3 stars, but I wanted to be fair because the food itself was very good & there were definitely some positives.

We were greeted by a friendly hostess who promptly seated us. Unfortunately, we waited about 10 minutes before our waitress came over to take our drink order. Once the drinks arrived, we ordered several items.

• Lamb Chops - Excellent flavor & definitely one of the highlights. They took a little while to arrive & could have been warmer, but we really enjoyed them.

• Vegetable Pakoras - Excellent. My wife really enjoyed these.

• Dal - My wife thought it was just okay because it lacked some flavor. She brought it home, added some salt, chili, & lime, & it turned out much better.

• Chicken Tikka Tandoori - Our daughter is a very picky eater, so getting her to eat chicken can sometimes be a challenge. She absolutely loved this, which says a lot!

• Garlic Naan & Plain Naan - Both were very good.

Once we were ready to order, the process was quick & easy. Unfortunately, that's also when the service started to go downhill.

Most of our food arrived, but the garlic naan didn't come until about 10 minutes later. The butter chicken was excellent, but while we waited for the naan, it started getting cold. By the time our waitress came back, I had to ask her to warm up the butter chicken.

This was probably my biggest disappointment. Rather than acknowledging the delay or offering to replace the dish, they simply took the same butter chicken back to the kitchen & reheated it. For a restaurant at this price point, I would have expected a little more attention to the situation.

My wife also requested a few specific side items that didn't arrive, & she had to ask twice before receiving them.

At the end of the meal, just as we were getting ready to leave, they remembered that we had indicated it was our anniversary & brought us a dessert. Gulab jamun isn't really my favorite because it's very sweet, but I genuinely appreciated the gesture. That thoughtful touch helped earn back an extra star in my mind.

Overall, the food was very good & everyone in our family found something they enjoyed. Pricing is definitely on the higher end, but I'm okay paying more when the food & overall experience justify it.

The biggest opportunity is the service & attention to detail. A simple acknowledgment of the delays & mistakes from our waitress-or even a quick visit from a manager-would have gone a long way. I probably would have gladly given India Rosa 5 stars.

I'm not trying to be overly critical because we did enjoy our meal. It's just that sometimes the small things are what separate a good dining experience from a great one.

Quelle belle expérience nous avons eu ,en cette soirée du 5 août! L'air dans le resto qui circulait...les oiseaux qui venaient & ressortaient dans le resto.....musique chill ,jazz...parfaite! Wow! Jeanne -Sophie a été d'un aide exceptionnel pour nous informer & proposer des mets dignent d'un 5 étoiles! Le raffinement de la nourriture fut d'un fin palet.. je savoure encore toutes les sensations goûteuse & odorantes des plats qui nous fut servient ! Merci encore aux compétences des chefs en place & à notre gentille & talentueuse serveuse Jeanne -Sophie! Tout fut parfait & nous reviendrons ,c'est sûr ! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
