Il Cortile offre une expérience italienne authentique, avec une cour intérieure magnifiquement décorée qui transporte en Italie. Le service est chaleureux et attentif, prêt à s'adapter aux demandes et à rendre les moments spéciaux inoubliables. La cuisine est excellente et généreuse, avec des pâtes fraîches savoureuses, des gnocchi fondants et des sauces riches qui séduisent autant lors d'un dîner romantique qu'en repas entre amis. L'ambiance est charmante et conviviale, que ce soit en terrasse ou dans ce cadre intime, et chaque visite paraît mémorable. Même lorsque le restaurant est très occupé, le personnel reste professionnel et attentif, et les desserts comme le tiramisu ou la gelato viennent couronner l'expérience.
This restaurant has a great setting & overall good service. However, the food is quite unimpressive & underwhelming. I had the carpaccio as an appetizer, it was so poorly executed, the beef had large patches of fat & connective tissue, which a carpaccio is not supposed to have, it not tender & it was truly un chewable. The beef colour didn't look fresh either. My friend had the shrimp pasta, the tomato sauce was so watery it looked like he had his pasta in a soup, & some shrimps still had shells left on it. If your want a dinner worth this price range, walk a little further on the street & go to Beatrice.
The place is super pretty & you're surrounded by flowers but it took an hour & a half to get my meal. The food was flavourless. The pasta sauce lacks so much flavor. One of my friends got a drink & it was so weirdly salty. My friend got the chicken, beware, cafeteria food tastes better. Would not come here if you're expecting to eat good italian food. Go somewhere else. Not worth the money at all.

Classic authentic italian food. They keep it simple & its amazing. Service was professional & fast. They are also very flexible with diatery resteictions as we asked to switch a sauce that had alcohol with something else so we rlly appreciated it.We went to test it out before having our engagement dinner during winter & we will surely pick this place. Highly reccomend making a reservation first.
This is a lovely urban courtyard restaurant hidden away in the heart of downtown Montreal. The unique setting & the pleasant service by the amiable young staff compensate for the quality of the food at this establishment. If you enjoy North American-Italian cuisine then you won't be disappointed by the heavy cream sauces, faux parmesan, very salty good or overcooked meats. Montreal has so much to offer when it comes to authentic Italian food but Il Cortile isn't one of the places. This would be a perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks or cocktail on a sunny afternoon.

Je tiens à exprimer ma plus grande satisfaction quant au service que nous avons reçu de la part de notre serveur, James. Il a été d'une écoute incroyable & nous a permis de passer un moment vraiment exceptionnel. Grâce à son attention & à sa gentillesse, je me suis sentie comme à la maison. Son service a été tout simplement merveilleux & a grandement contribué à la qualité de notre expérience. De plus, la nourriture a été incroyable, ce qui a rendu notre repas encore plus mémorable. Merci beaucoup à James pour son professionnalisme & sa chaleur humaine.
La nourriture est excellente ça se sens que les produit sont d'une qualité impeccable & le savoir faire en cuisine les embellis a merveille. De plus, nous avons eut la chance d'être servit par James qui a réussi à alliés la qualité de service avec la convivialité & l'humour. Je recommande vivement l'expérience!
The secluded terrasse is so beautiful & secluded, you feel you're in Italy. The Italian food is so on point, authentic & just amazing. The service & the staff - we feel like we're part of family, even if only going a few times. James is such a conscientious & attentive server & Jasmine is so knowledgeable....& stunning. 😘 We will be back! 🙏
Outdoor courtyard was absolutely charming & beautiful. Sadly the food was bland & underwhelming. Service started off great but then it took forever to get our main courses, I wanted a second drink & had to flag down a waiter to be able to order it.
Restaurant très charmant qui nous fait voyager en Italie. La cuisine est délicieuse & le service est impeccable. La terrasse est très agréable, je recommande vivement le cocktail au romarin & au limoncello. Le menu est un peu cher mais ça vaut le coup

Dino, the owner/manager of Il Cortile was so wonderful & made my husbands birthday party celebration with our friends & family very special. The food was delicious from the appetizers, to main course to the dessert. An extensive wine list to choose from & a lovely atmosphere. Our server (Jasmine) was so professional, kind, polite & attentive without hovering. I highly recommend Il Cortile for a lovely lunch or dinner or celebration, without hesitation. If the weather cooperates then ask for a table in the courtyard surrounded by beautiful flowers & dine al fresco. We look forward to many more meals at this Italian restaurant. Bravi Tutti!!!!!!!
The restaurant is reaaally nice, we sat outdoor, but food was below mid especially for the price. Service was great, the waitresses & waiters were very friendly & nice! I would recommend to go for drinks, its actually a beautiful place!
Going to this restaurant is like taking a ticket & travelling to Italy. It is just wonderful. Great service. Great food, very tasty & well presented. Great deco simple & authentic. I highly recommend
Beautiful location & the waiters are great but the food wow such a big disappointment. I felt I was at a school for cooking. An Italian restaurant that serves raw zucchini & squashed eggplant drenched in oil, appetizers missing salt-the whole table complained. Improve on the basics & this could be a 5 star restaurant. So misleading !
