I have contemplated coming here for weeks, after seen social media posts.

I had high expectations & we finally came today.
Unlike the pictures posted in social media, the open terrasse is very small, no fans, no air...hard to breathe.

Service was mediocre, I mean really mediocre.

We waited 1 hour or more for our meals,.during which time I poured whine in my glass my self.

We got my son's filet Mignon with sauce, not as we ordered so we send this to back to the kitchen, the second take came way too cooked & we return it to the kitchen again.

Their pasta is definitely not home made regular supermarket pasta, nothing to it.

Unfortunately the pancakes came with additional dressing, a nice hair in the center of them.

I'm sure my experience was unlike others, never the less, I wouldn't go back for any reason.

Literally a hidden gem! A fantastic Italian restaurant in downtown Montreal. Most of the tables in an alleyway & decorated with lots of flower. The food are very authentic.

J'ai découvert ce restaurant récemment & j'ai été absolument charmée par le cadre. La terrasse est magnifique & l'ambiance vraiment agréable. Malheureusement, la qualité de la nourriture n'était pas du tout à la hauteur du prix demandé. C'était vraiment décevant. Le service, quant à lui, était correct, mais globalement, je trouve l'endroit beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est, au vu du prix qui était clairement exagéré. On s'attendait à une bien meilleure qualité pour le tarif demandé.

The place is beautiful, no doubt about that. Cozy Italian ambiance with nice decor & lighting. Dish was good, but not particularly memorable. The service was nice. Io was polite & made sure we were enjoying our time. A pleasant overall experience.

I have a message to everyone planning to do a special event & enjoy delicious food in a magical setup you need to go check Il Cortile restaurant!! We had a magical Bridal Shower yesterday & we couldn't have chosen a better place! The food was delicious, the service was unbeatable with pleasant staff doing all efforts to give us anything we needed, the garden just beautiful you feel you're in Italy to enjoy a great meal, & the owner so kind & hard working to keep all his guests happy all the way until they leave!! Wow thank you all so much & see you again soon keep your standard for others to follow!!

our waiter james was incredible he gave us amazing service always made sure we had what we needed & was so sweet. would definitely recommend trying out this place if you're looking for a beautiful outdoor patio or great italian food.

Favourite place we have visited in Montreal! Beautiful environment & atmosphere, our waiter James gave the sweetest most attentive service i have ever experienced. He was patient with us explaining the menu options & was always offering suggestions for drinks, desserts & meals. Great italian food, the ceasar salad & gnocchi pasta was 10/10! Would 100% recommend trying this place if you're in the area.

Overrated. Food was really not impressive. Service was ok, I had to ask for butter for my bread or else I wouldn't get it. The place looked nice but the food was really not good. I won't go back.

The food was solid. But I left the meal after 3 hours & they werent done. It was troublingly hot in the courtyard (not their fault). But after fanning yourself with a menu & multiple requests for more water, you just lose your appetite. I think a party > 6 may be too big for them.
