From the incredible Pescado y Mariscos (seriously, one of the best Seafood Paellas we've had!) to the flavorful Pulpo Asado, our taste buds were in heaven.
Even the Patatas Bravas, though a little dry, were super tasty.
While the Gilda Vasca & Basque Cheesecake weren't standouts, they were still good, & the overall value for money is fantastic.
If you're in Montreal & craving authentic Spanish Tapas, this spot is a must-try - especially for their Paella & Octopus!
Is you are looking & appreciate a real Spanish Food experience then you need to visit Ibericos.
By far the best Paella in Montreal. But that is not the only good stuff you will find there.
As a tapas place you will have the chance to try different things that will make you travel into the Mediterranean. Their service is impeccable & always willing to explain you the menu.
The freshness of their food is incredible, either you like a Veggie menu or All-In :-). If so don't miss the opportunity of trying a good Jamon Iberico (spoiler alert: Don't call it Prosciutto!!!)
For your first experience you can try the tasting menu, it will give you the opportunity to try different aspects of the menu & for sure you will like to return ;-)

Oh wow, outstanding spanish food here. We shared a paella valenciana that was truly delicious, flavourful, abundant, not to forget that caracteristic caramelized rice 🤤, couldn't stop eating it. Generous garnish of all plates. The tapas were all very tasty, hot, & perfectly plated. Service quick & attentive.
Great service all around. We ordered one tapas dish, the mixed charcuterie which we upgraded to have the bellota ham (a must to get). That was excellent. It comes with two types of cheese & two types of meat & 4 slices of bread with tomatoes.
As a main dish, we got the seafood paella. Large dish for two. Honestly, nothing special about it. It was an ok dish.
Finally, we got the churros with chocolate dip. That was our least favorite of of all three dishes.
Overall, I'd give it another try with the tapas to discover more dishes.
This place is incredible. Luckily I was able to slip in & get the full treatment. 5 course meal, dessert, wine. Zero complaints. This place blew me away. Everyone should try this experience!
December 2025 Update:
Went back & tested out 3 tapas, & a couple cocktails. Still outstanding. I mean OUTstanding. Truly a gem in Montreal. A must try.
Yesterday I visited Ibéricos - Taverne à Tapas Espagnoles & really enjoyed the food & the atmosphere; both were excellent.
As a small suggestion for improvement, it would be helpful to adjust the coat rack, as it is quite high & difficult to reach, especially during winter. Additionally, each time the entrance door opened, a strong cold draft came in, which was a bit uncomfortable.
Aside from these points, everything else was very good. Thank you for the pleasant experience.
Hier, je suis allée au restaurant Ibéricos - Taverne à Tapas Espagnoles & j'ai beaucoup apprécié la qualité de la nourriture ainsi que l'ambiance, qui étaient excellentes.
Comme suggestion d'amélioration, il serait utile d'ajuster le porte-manteau, car il est assez haut & difficile d'accès, surtout en hiver. De plus, chaque fois que la porte d'entrée s'ouvrait, le froid entrait fortement, ce qui était un peu inconfortable.
Mis à part ces points, tout était très bien. Merci pour cette belle expérience.
Amazing experience here during MTL a Table 2025. The restaurant is lovely & really cultivates a great vibe. I could have stayed for hours. The service was incredibly friendly & fast. The food came out quicker than I could even take pictures of!
Each tapas plate was delicious - cooked & seasoned to perfection. We loved the Iberian ham dishes & the brussel salad. The Spanish omelette was to die for! Truly delicious appetizer course in which each dish flowed seamlessly (& quickly) into the next.
We had the traditional chicken & rabbit Paella, which was phenomenal. They 100% delivered on the socarrat. Amazing flavours & wonderful crisp.
Excellent date night spot. We will be back soon!

This place was great! The food wad amazing & the staff were awesome. Flatbread with caramelized onions & blue cheese was a tapas highlight, & the paella was as beautiful as it was delicious.
Their seafood paella is totally delicious - five stars!! The Paella Valenciana is also very tasty for the ones that don't eat seafood. In my opinion, the tapas are overpriced & average in taste but 100% recommend the paellas!
My family & I came here for an early dinner & the food was incredible. The tapas were amazing, especially the grilled octopus. The servers were kind & the seafood paella delicious. If I'm ever in Montreal again, I will be returning!
The price is even higher than touristic places in the city, & the tapas are smaller portions than in Spain, the paella is good but also less than expected.
Quelle belle découverte ! Ce resto est tout simplement incroyable. On a gouté aux tapas (pieuvre grillé, salade de choux de bruxelle, croquettes de fromage bleu, croquettes de morue, brochette s'agneau & les pains coca) & tout était à tomber par terre tellement c'était délicieux !!! Je vais rêver particulièrement à la salade de choux se bruxelle. J'ai hâte d'y retourner !
We had an amazing dining experience at Ibéricos Taverne à Tapas Espagnoles! Every tapa we ordered was absolutely delicious-perfectly prepared with rich flavors & fresh ingredients. The highlight of the night was definitely the squid ink paella-deep, savory, & unforgettable. It quickly became one of our favorites. The atmosphere was warm & lively, & the service was friendly & attentive. A must-visit if you're in the mood for authentic Spanish tapas done right!
My favorite restaurant in Montreal. We come here every year & it seems to get even better each time.( which seems impossible) chef seems truly gifted. Nothing needed additional seasoning & the flavors were so well balanced..just awesome. Hostess (owner?)also so warm & wecoming. Love it!
Update: Food was borderline bad..I guess all good things must come to an end. Had about 12 different tapas, fried tapas used to be light & crisp, now they are coated in thick batter. Iberico ham was not sliced properly, going with the grain....I could go on, jamon croquetas were lumpy inside instead of the silky filling once had..will not return..sadly
Response: There was wonderful review left with a 5 star review, that has been left up there for years. What would I say to the manager? It wasn't one thing that wasn't good. It was the whole experience, the service, the food, the drinks, the whole vibe felt different, & the new people that we brought with us were not happy with the food either. This was not a bad night. I saw some other reviews that seemed to share a similar view..
Nous habitons pas très loin & nous cherchions un p'tit coin sympa où manger des tapas. L'endroit est très cute, le service est très agréable & accueillant, le menu complet pour combler toutes les envies : tapas, paellas (je pense qu'on en testera une la prochaine fois elles avaient l'air malades !!) plats à base de viande ou poisson. Pour notre part nos sommes restés sur les tapas ce soir là : les croquetas (jambon ibérique & épinards/bleu), la planche mixte, les calamars frits, tout était excellent !
Nous y reviendrons sans aucun doutes pour tester d'autres choses. On recommande ! 🥘
