Review Summary

Described by many reviews, I AM PHO delivers deeply flavorful broth and consistently satisfying pho that serves as a reliable go-to when craving comfort food. Dishes like pho dac biet and other staples are often highlighted for bold taste, while accompaniments such as spring rolls and salads are noted as solid pairings. Service is frequently praised as fast and friendly, with some noting helpful staff and multilingual service. Takeout experiences are mixed, with praise for leak proof containers and good taste in some visits, but criticism for downsized portions and inconsistent packaging and quality in others. Portion size and price are a common point of discussion, with some meals felt worth the value and others described as pricey for the amount. A few reviews mention issues like overcooked chicken, dry meat, or less impressive noodles, though many diners still call it a favorite neighborhood spot.

The only place I go to for some Pho when myself or the family is under the weather. Deep beautiful flavours thats consistent with every purchase.
Also really enjoy the beef & chicken rice meals with the salads on the side & the spring rolls.

I only had one item & it was not good. The salad roll tasted like old wilted lettuce with a faint hit of cilantro, the wrapper was chewy & the stuffings were bland & lacked freshness. The accompanying peanut butter sauce which is usually thicker & a little spicy is what makes it pop. I was served a watery liquid masquerading as sauce which lacked any punch. I ate at Kanata noodle house 3 weeks ago absolutely amazing food & service, NOT saying you have to drive to Ottawa to get great PHO but this is like comparing a G wagon to a jalopy. This did not impress as I could not finish. So many other options close by. Pleasant guy who served me but that doesn't put flavour on the plate. Empty restaurant should've been my first flag. Sorry but I recommend a hard pass.

When I am craving for good bowl of pho, I come here.

The broths are very flavorful, they are definitely made with love. My go to is the Tonkinese pho dac biet (all dress) but sometimes I switch it up for the bun bo hue, mhmm! 11/10 !

I enjoy their spring roll as well, it is very delicious & very fresh.

Let's not forget to mention the amazing service!

My rating is based on a delivery order, please keep that in mind. I tried the well done beef soup & an order of imperial rolls. Beef soup pros: Large portion Lots of meat Lots of noodles Decent tasting broth Beef soup cons: Not enough cilantro Very little vegetation of any kind in the dish Despite being tasty, the broth was very oily A lot of liquid leaked in the to go containers & made the delivery bag fall apart during transport Imperial roll pros: Good size Lots of filling Nice flavour Imperial roll cons: Container was placed in delivery bag upside down & the sauce spilled inside, making the rolls very damp & they lost all their crispiness A bit expensive for only two rolls Some of the issues I experienced would definitely be avoided by eating at the restaurant instead of ordering delivery but the soup really could use more cilantro & more green onion. It is very plain & boring looking & I can't even taste the cilantro because there is so little added to the soup. The basil was also sent in a separate bag & even though I added it, the broth was no longer hot enough to aromatize the herbs so it only tastes or smells when I bite the whole leaf (leaves are sent whole instead of chopped or sliced, which doesn't help either). For the rolls, I think it was just an honest mistake & accidents happen. Crispy rolls are always much better hot & fresh when eating at the restaurant.
