Overall, reviews describe HolyChoco as a destination for rich, indulgent crepes and chocolate desserts with large, generously topped portions that many say are among the best in Montreal. Standouts include pistachio cookies and a variety of decadent crepes, with some calling the crepes the best in the city and the overall dessert experience memorable. Yet price is a frequent point of contention, with portions sometimes weighing against cost, and service or ambiance receiving mixed praise. Some visits are praised for friendly staff and thoughtful touches like a fruit plate for a baby, while others mention slow service, crowded settings, loud music, or long waits. The atmosphere can be vibrant and busy, but the focus on sweet tooth indulgence remains clear. Overall, HolyChoco is viewed as a must try for dessert lovers, delivering standout chocolate and crepe experiences that can be worth it for enthusiasts despite variability in value and service.
Food's good, but there's nothing to kill a vibe like hearing an obnoxious Spotify advert every 3 minutes because the owner's too cheap to pay for a subscription.
The food was tasting good. Nothing mind blowing but good. The price is reasonable but the in-person service terrible. We waited 1hour for our food & after 45min they askes us to change the order because they were out of chicken. To be fair, there were only two women in the kitchen preparing the orders but still not acceptable to wait 1 hour for our food. The waffle came in 45 min, the skillet came after 25 min of changing the order because they were out of chicken. At the end they brought us an ice-cream (they probably saw me writing this review) to satisfy us & excuse for their service. I just wanted to share this experience as fair as possible.
