I've gotten bread here too & it's always been great. The coffee, however, isn't the greatest but definitely come here for the food!View more
I can see why this is one of the best bakeries in Montreal. The service as I was greeted was exceptional, probably one of the friendliest. I tried their samples, as well as one sweet (cinnamon danish) & one savoury pastry (cheese & spinach danish) . Fresh & delicious. What surprised me was the coffee - it was one of the best lattes I've had. Will definitely be coming back.View more
Best oatmeal cookies in Montreal! This hidden little bakery on the Plateau makes exquisite pastries with a friendly smile, & I'm happy to see that it's become very popular recently for coffee or lunch, which is well deserved. Try their white "milk" bread!View more
I enjoyed the coffee so much! It's been a while since I had a latte with acidity. Milk foam on top & latte art was perfect. The cafe smelled of fresh bread! I tried the baguette, croissant, & a few pastries; they were good overall. I had hoped the croissant would be a bit more crunchy, but the overall experience was nice with friendly staff. Highly recommendView more
Loved stopping in here. Was excited to see Borscht on the menu & it did NOT disappoint. Being from Ukrainian descent, I've eaten a fair amount of borscht, however, I've never tried a version with what seemed like pickled beets. It was phenomenal with the pickled beets - Hof's borscht is thick & has a tinge of vinegar & was served with sour cream on top (so they know what they're doing). Will be back for the borscht for sure. We also tried the cheese danish which was awesome, the homemade iced tea (which my husband describes as tasting like jelly beans), & bought a loaf of challah to bring home (which also paired well with the soup!). The coffee was unfortunately underwhelming for me, a bit too acidic for my personal preference. The interior of the space is a bit industrial yet cozy, it was nice to pass some time on a rainy day with a coffee & soup. Will absolutely be back.View more
Absolutely superb! Everything was beyond expectations. The amandine was so perfect it cannot have existed. The coffee was clean, complex, but still fairly caramelly for a third wave cup. The barista didn't just hate me, she was clearly astrally projecting while I was talking. 10/10. I've always liked montreal, but now I'm strongly considering moving there on a stolen snowmobile if/when Trump steals the 2024 election!View more
