Review Summary

Herman - Brasserie Artisanal earns praise for friendly, attentive service and a standout beer lineup that includes an exceptional IPA and a diverse taps list with an emphasis on easy drinking pilsners and blondes. Staff are described as helpful and knowledgeable, able to explain the beers and their backgrounds. The atmosphere is convivial with a sunny terrace and cozy interior, though seating indoors is on long picnic benches. The venue is kid and dog friendly and conveniently located near the Petit Train du Nord, making it a good stop on a road trip or after outdoor activities. Visitors call it a great discovery with delicious beers, solid snacks, and a welcoming vibe, and many plan to return. Specific mentions include a smoky porter with chocolate and coffee notes and a silky textured beer, with Littoral porter Baltique noted among favorites. Overall, the experience is described as outstanding with solid customer service and a warm ambiance.

Charming, friendly atmosphere. Situated along the bike trail or cross country ski trail in the winter. 12-9 daily except they close at six on Sundays. Family & dog friendly. Lots of different kinds of beers to try. :)

We found the place by walking on the petit train du nord trail. Cool spot, good beers, it's worth the stop.
