This a a great little neighbourhood favourite in Montréal, considered one of the best restaurants in the city. Middle Eastern fusion is the name of the game. We have the Valentine's Day tasting menu. It was fantastic. Good wine list. The relaxed atmosphere makes is perfect for a date, or family & friends.
!0/10 experience at Heni, last Saturday night for our relationship anniversary. We took the tasting menu & everything was absolutely delicious. It is also a nice change from French or Italian cuisine (as much as I love them), with original pairings & wine from Lebanon (among other offers.)
Highly recommend, congratulations to the whole team.

I've honestly never eaten such a delicious & unique meal (we had the tasting menu). Artful & filling food. Completely unique wines & cocktails. Get there if you can!
One of the best spots in Montreal. I love to bring my out of town friends here when they visit. All of the staff are wonderful, the food is delicious, the cocktails are phenomenal. Highly recommend the tasting menu. Once you've finished your meal you have to check out the cocktail bar in the basement!
I had dinner at Heni a few weeks ago & what an incredible experience! You can go with the tasting menu or a la carte- we had the opportunity to try both sides & we absolutely loved both! Very vegetarian friendly & has a great set up for large group bookings. What makes Heni so special is the service- Noa & his team do an amazing job making your dinner absolutely unforgettable!
I went to Heni with a large group, which meant we had to do the tasting menu. I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of tasting menus, they often miss the mark, & unfortunately, this one did too.
It started off okay, the first few bites had solid flavours & promise. But as the dishes kept coming, it just went downhill. The vine leaves & mushrooms on a stick were overcooked & completely flavourless. The portions were tiny, which I could overlook if the food blew me away, but it didn't.
The real disappointment came with the quail & side of kale & lentils. The quail was rubbery, bland, & had zero seasoning - honestly, it felt like it was just thrown on the plate. One of the pasta dishes was also way too salty, with what was supposed to be a beautiful egg yolk on top that was instead overcooked into a dry lump.
The only thing that saved the night a bit was the ice cream dessert - simple, but actually good. Unfortunately, the second dessert, a baklava, was just pure sugar with no real taste. It left me feeling like I needed to brush my teeth right after.
So while I get that this place gets glowing reviews, I can't follow the crowd on this one. For me, Heni was a complete miss.
That said, don't just take my word for it. Try it yourself & see. But if you're looking for high-end Mediterranean food done right, I'd say Garage Beirut or Shay Restaurant are much better options.

Had the first day of their new tasting menu & it was fantastic! I had the veg option & my table got the classic menu, & both were phenomenal. Amazing service from Kim & Noah. The wines were excellent quality, & came with in depth & meaningful stories.
The food was amazing! We were lucky enough to be able to try the appetizers from the tasting menu, the pea tartelette was OUT of this world, & the steak aged with koji & served with their homemade hummus was mouth watering. Also Amber was so nice with us & made us feel like we were at home. 10/10 will definitely go back!
The tasting menu & the wine pairing were exquisite!! The food was imaginative, delicious, & beautifully presented, & the wine selection & pairing was one of the best I've ever had!! Plus, the service was excellent & the owner was extremely hospitable & very knowledgeably about middle eastern food, flavours, & wine!!
Amazing experience at Heni. We went for the Tasting Menu & it was just delicious.
The service overall was great, but there was a bit of a delay between one of the courses & also to get the check.
Other than that everything went fine. Will be back!
Tried out Heni for date night & went with the tasting menu - such a great choice. Every course was thoughtful, delicious, & beautifully explained. They were also incredibly accommodating of my partner being pescatarian, with a planned replacement for each course that fit seamlessly into the experience. Amber's service & wine pairings were spot on, & her descriptions of each wine really added something special. Just an all-around fantastic night out. Thank you!!!
I think it is ok, but not great if you are looking for a Mediterranean experience. We had tasting menu with alcohol pairings. Service is really great. Cocktails were not to my taste, wines were good, great selection of Lebanese wines which was really nice. Food was a little of a let down, I LOVE Mediterranean food, especially Lebanese & Syrian which have amazing flavours, but the one served at Heni was rather bland. It was still good, but not what I came for. Would recommend for 5a7 style dinner but there are definitely better options for an actual Mediterranean experience.
Everything about this spot was amazing. The wine. The food. The service. Such an incredible experience. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing, 100% recommended if you're tempted.

Partner & I ate here for the NYE tasting menu. The food was delicious & our server was very knowledgeable & helpful. I marked on the reservation that my partner was allergic to shellfish & received a call from the restaurant letting us know that they would make sure it was not an issue with our tasting menu. Highly recommend.
Definitely one of the best additions to the neighbourhood in a while. The tasting menu was impressive, the wine was amazing, & the dessert was stunning. Tens across the board.
The tasting menu was fun & everything tasted pretty good. It's very loud though & the service felt a bit rushed at times. Wouldn't go if you're planning on having a conversation with whoever you're going with.
Food & service were amazing, would 100% recommend. We had the falafels, raw kibbeh, kale dip, fish & lamb; everything was so delicious! Try their tasting menu!
My group & I were generally not super impressed with our experience at Heni. The restaurant was presented to us a Middle Eastearn & North African cuisine, yet no mocktails or alcohol free drinks appeared on the menu. Our server informed us uppon asking that the two cocktails shown (18$), are just as good without the alcohol. Seemed liked a missed opportunity to have a well crafted mocktail list. We got the tasting menu, of which we genuinely loved one dish - the tuna. We asked about replacing an item in the tasting menu with another & were discouraged to do so, & ended up adding the quail dish. Good thing we did because the quail was great! The rest of the menu lacked the something special that the tuna & quail dishes seemed to have, especially for the price (313$ for two people, including a bottle of wine & tip).
