Normally, the experience here is ok. Not sure what happened this time around. Sat on terrace on a Monday afternoon. Barely any service, waitress did not come to ask about our food (my Benedict eggs were horrible), if we were missing anything (yes, ketchup & water, went to get both inside, as never found the waitress). Lunch & supper meals are better. The breakfast meal gave me indigestion. ☹️ Edit - appetizers are good - potatoe skins with sour cream & the cheese sticks with BBQ sauce. Poutine good as well, generous portion. Service still sucks. Long to order, no water refills, long to receive the bill.

This place offer a good variety of meals, from breakfast, lunch to dinner, you can you dinne in or go for take out. Their food is really delicious & was server hot.

We had a good time & the service was great. We'll be back for sure.

PS. Try their smoke meat, it's tender & so delicious.

First time at Hawg's for a birthday lunch with my parents.
First, if you are in a wheelchair as I am the accessible entrance is *behind* the restaurant with a nice ramp & parking spot right next to it. I recommend that someone from your crowd goes inside from the front to alert them to open the door at the back as there is no way to open the door if it's closed.
The premises are great, clean & an acceptable noise level. Seated, our waitress Chantal, did an amazing job of tending to our needs & her demeanour was most enjoyably friendly & efficient.
The menu is varied as you can see online so we opted for the smoked meat platter & a surf/turf. Smoked meat was from Lester's thus you can't go wrong. Medium, it was tender, tasty & not greasy 1 bit. Surf/turf was made up by filet mignon & shrimps. The former could have been a tad less fibrous but the shrimps were simply divine. Dessert, well what can one say when faced withh "Chocolate Torture"...leave space as this is not the "Second Cup"-sized portion.
All in all a first experience made pleasant by our waitress Chantal (Merci Chantal!) & the good food. Next time will probably be trying the breakfast.
