Hartley has been established in St-Lambert for over 40 years, offering delicious home made ice cream, chocolates and deserts. After a brief closure, the new owners reopened at a new address mid 2018. They are not only putting the emphasis on quality ingredients and great taste but also on a family oriented atmosphere and friendly service.

I used to love this ice cream place. They had the best homemade ice cream, & the prices were always quite reasonable. I come here fairly often with my kids. Unfortunately, the service has really declined lately, & the prices have gone up. While I understand price increases given today's economy, I wish the service would reflect the higher cost.
On top of that, the portion sizes have significantly decreased, which makes it even more disappointing. During our last visit, the young woman who served us barely smiled or spoke to us. It left us wondering whether she simply wasn't in the mood or if that's just how customers are treated now.
I truly hope the owner reads this review & takes steps to improve both the service & the value, because the ice cream itself is still excellent.

I've been going too often to Hartley's since I was a kid, all the locations have always been great. Well worth the detour for some fantastic frozen treats.

The ice cream was really good but we were rushed to leave as we were eating our ice cream because it was 9:00 exactly. The worker stood at the door looking at everyone to get out until they left. Lacking customer service.

La qualité toujours au rendez-vous, on s'installe à une table à l'extérieur pour savourer.
Petite déception, la variété des saveurs plutôt limité surtout si vous y amenez les petits enfants

Update: Prices are very relatively high, it's not as worth as it used to be when you compare to other ice cream businesses arround the south shore. If it was not for their chocolates, I would put it at 2 stars

Pour du chocolats fait maison & des sourires du personnel attentionnés ses avec un immense plaisir que j'ai déguster une glace tremper dans le chocolats délicieux merci à la belle demoiselle du café dans côté de m'y avoir amené & le jeune garçon qui m'a si bien servie

Hartley chocolat mais vends du boréal, a l'ancienne place il fessait leurs propre choco donc garder le nom mais pas en faire c'est ordinaire un peux cela n' empêche pas que c'est bon.

Les brownies sont delicieux. Par contre, sur internet il est écrit qu'il ferme à 20h, nous sommes arrivés à 19h20 & tout était déjà fermé... c'est dommage de se déplacer pour rien, ça n'incite pas à y retourner ça fait déjà quelques fois que ça arrive...

Well, cannot suggest only one flavor coz all of them are amazing but cardamom was the one I liked the most. If ginger, guava or berries flavors are available, choose them!

C'est dommage car il ferme souvent plus tôt que prévu à l'horaire & les heures d'été sont un peu « limitees »

Un très bon service. Les crèmes glacer sont excellent & c'est très rapide pas besoin d'attendre des heures. Si vous habitez a saint-lambert ou proche je vout conseille d'y faire un tour au moins une fois ou plusieurs.
