A Fantastic Sushi Experience at Hanami Sushi & Wok
I recently had the pleasure of dining with my colleagues at Hanami Sushi & Wok in Kirkland, & it was an absolutely satisfying experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm & inviting, with friendly staff ready to accommodate us.
The all-you-can-eat menu is a great value, offering a wide selection of fresh & flavorful sushi, along with other delicious options like tempura, teriyaki, & wok dishes. Every piece of sushi was well-prepared, with fresh ingredients & excellent presentation. The Maki Combo #5 was a highlight, featuring a mix of classic & specialty rolls that were both visually appealing & delicious.
Service was quick & attentive, with the staff ensuring our orders arrived promptly & that we had everything we needed. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, & had a lively yet comfortable ambiance, making it a great spot for both casual outings & special occasions.
Overall, Hanami Sushi & Wok is a must-visit for sushi lovers in Montreal. The quality, variety, & service make it an excellent choice, & I'll definitely be coming back for more.
I've had the pleasure of savoring sushi at some of the world's most renowned restaurants, but Sushi Hanami in Montreal takes the crown. This unassuming gem serves the most exquisite, freshest, & expertly crafted sushi I've ever had the delight of tasting. From the moment you step inside, the warm & intimate atmosphere sets the tone for a truly exceptional dining experience. The service is impeccable, with attentive & knowledgeable staff happy to guide you through the menu. But the real magic happens when the sushi arrives. Each piece is a masterclass in texture, flavor, & presentation. The fish is incredibly fresh, & the chef's skillful handling of each ingredient is evident in every bite. Standouts include the sublime Uni, the melt-in-your-mouth Otoro, & the ingenious specialty rolls that blend traditional flavors with modern twists. Sushi Hanami is a must-visit destination for any sushi aficionado. In a city teeming with exceptional dining options, this hidden gem shines brightly, offering an unforgettable culinary experience that will leave you craving more. Rating: 6/5 stars (yes, it's that good!) Price: Moderate to high ($$$$), but worth every penny. Will I return? Absolutely, & with great enthusiasm!"
Still super delicious! Highly recommended! Hand rolls are great! They expanded their lunch menu & it's great!!! Staff is always so friendly as well!
lunch menu visit review: +staff is 5/5, very kind, very attentive. Great smiles all around. +food came quick +tekiyaki was so fire🔥 +lots of parking +wasabi mussels were delish -No sashimi. No eel options. No hand rolls. No surf clam. No sashimi. No Philadelphia rolls. No sashimi. No mango tango options. -Maybe 4-5 options of maki rolls, no more. -The rice was also 2-5 minutes overcooked. Meaning it was on the way to becoming rice dough. -sushis had little flavour. & so did the wasabi. Rice needed more sushi vinegar perhaps. -smoked salmon was made with grocery store bought smoked salmon. Tasted home made. Very thin salmon slices. -crab salad tasted good with the sesame sauce but needed more crab shreddings
I'd say it's my least favorite AYCE sushi place in the area; I wasn't impressed with any of the rolls, as they were just OK at best. However, the service & servers were all amazing, which made for a pleasant dining experience overall. Despite the great service, the quality of the food itself was disappointing, & I personally wouldn't choose to return. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, & it had a good atmosphere, but the lackluster sushi left much to be desired for a return visit.
Brought the family here for an all you can eat sushi dinner & it was fantastic. Kids under 4 eat for free so it was a good opportunity for my son to try things out. The maki rolls, tempura, sashimi & specialty rolls were all delicious & gorgeous to look at. The service was very quick to both bring food out & to clean up empty plates so the table never got cluttered. They were also very friendly & answered all of our questions with a smile. It's a bit of a drive from where we live but it was a truly enjoyable experience & we will surely be returning.
Edit: The general tao is also very good. Better than most non-sushi restaurants that serve it.
