They force tips here. the guy told us'you have to tip at least 15%' at the time of payment. If they're going to force tips they have to tell you BEFORE the meal. It has to be clearly indicated & it is not. Not at the time of payment. It is illegal what they are doing here. If you're looking for a better place go to La Pere, It's on St. Jean. They have better food & the restaurant doesn't force tips. The difference between La Perle & Hanami. When you order beef & broccoli they actually give you more than 2 tiny slivers of beef. Hanami treat you like you should bow before them an be happy thay they actually serve you. While at La Perle they act professionally & give you great food. They even are polite with my old father when he is overly condescending as he explains what a martini is to the same guy everytime we go there. I cringe he laughs it off. Hanami is trash. I gave them one last shot. They failed. Do not go there. All they're after is your money. They dont care about service or quality. Im sorry Im not 25 years old & perfect. But i still deserve good service. Hanami is trash. You deserve to spend your money at a place that treats you with respect & CARES about your business. A place like Allo Mon Coco where Max gives me dessert sometimes & doesnt charge me. Where he puts up a picture of a young child who drew it for him. People like Charles & Jazz at Chez Cora who always smile & make you feel welcome. People like Jeanine at Le Beaujelais & everyone else that tell themselves'how would I like to be treated.' Doing this job hard. But doing anything is hard. If you cant take the bad than you shouldnt get the good. Treating people with respect is important. Especially when they're being difficult. It shows your worth. People might not say anything but they notice. & they notice restaurants like Hanami sushi & Le Manoir Kirkland that rip off their customers. Shame on you. Shame.

Sushi Hanami is fantastic! The service is always amazing, the ingredients are fresh, & the food is delicious. We always come back & are never disappointed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality sushi & a great dining experience!
The staff was initially hesitant to accommodate my boyfriend & I because we're blind. After some discussion, they agreed to help us this one time but informed us that next time, we'd need to bring a sighted person or know exactly what we want to order ahead of time online. Unfortunately, their website isn't very accessible with screen readers, which makes it tough to navigate & place orders online.
The food quality was decent, although the wonton soup didn't quite hit the mark for me - I've had better wonton soup at Chinese buffets. The tempura was also quite oily & greasy.
A Fantastic Sushi Experience at Hanami Sushi & Wok
I recently had the pleasure of dining with my colleagues at Hanami Sushi & Wok in Kirkland, & it was an absolutely satisfying experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm & inviting, with friendly staff ready to accommodate us.
The all-you-can-eat menu is a great value, offering a wide selection of fresh & flavorful sushi, along with other delicious options like tempura, teriyaki, & wok dishes. Every piece of sushi was well-prepared, with fresh ingredients & excellent presentation. The Maki Combo #5 was a highlight, featuring a mix of classic & specialty rolls that were both visually appealing & delicious.
Service was quick & attentive, with the staff ensuring our orders arrived promptly & that we had everything we needed. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, & had a lively yet comfortable ambiance, making it a great spot for both casual outings & special occasions.
Overall, Hanami Sushi & Wok is a must-visit for sushi lovers in Montreal. The quality, variety, & service make it an excellent choice, & I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Had a lovely dinner at Hanami Sunday night. Sushi is really good quality for the price, & the service was excellent - attentive & friendly to our group of 5. Even though it was super busy, we were still very well taken care of. I've been several times & will continue to come back. Highly recommended!
Honestly, no jokes. Best all you can eat in Montreal. Fish quality is amazing & service is amazing. You complain & they fix the issue right away. There's one tall asian guy, he offers an amazing service always with a big smile.

Actually one of my favorite sushi restaurant. Always the best servings, no complain on the quality of food they serve. But recently, I have noticed that when I order food, the quantity seems to decrease. Like I order 2pcs of chicken & they served one. Then I ordered 6pcs of takoyaki then I got 5pcs only. I thought it was just their new ordering system, but when I ordered the avocado hosomaki, the number also decreased. Otherwise, still my favorite sushi restaurant.
I'd say it's my least favorite AYCE sushi place in the area; I wasn't impressed with any of the rolls, as they were just OK at best. However, the service & servers were all amazing, which made for a pleasant dining experience overall. Despite the great service, the quality of the food itself was disappointing, & I personally wouldn't choose to return. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, & it had a good atmosphere, but the lackluster sushi left much to be desired for a return visit.
Apparently they shrink the menu. So you don't have that much of choice. Quality is not wow anymore compare to what they were doing before ! PS: be careful waiters put wrong dishes for you.
We had AYCE in Hanami. The quality of the salmon sashimi is amazing compare to other AYCE restaurants. Even though it's during rush hour at dinner time. The waiters are still giving excellent services. Quality for the rest of items are great as well. Highly recommended if you want to have a full belly with a decent AYCE food.
Absolutely love this place. Everything is fresh & comes out quickly, love the app that you order with. It's easy & convenient, the staff is really friendly & the price for the quality you get is amazing! Try this place you won't be let down. The decor is a bit out dated but hey it's all about the food!
