We ate here but I didn't like the Adana kebab at all; it was tough, like leather, & very expensive. Sofra Restaurant is cheaper & their kebabs are better, I think you should try there.
On a mangé ici, mais j'ai pas du tout aimé le kebab Adana ; il était dur comme du cuir & très cher. Le restaurant Sofra est moins cher & leurs kebabs sont meilleurs, je vous suggère d'y aller.
The best Turkish restaurant in Saint-Laurent with a great decor & an amazing staff ❤?❤? We made reservations & came during the Ramadan time in the evening & it was wonderful to see the restaurant fill up & everyone started getting served at sun down 😇😇 From the servers to the maître d' everyone was super welcoming, professional, & went out of the way to answer any questions about the food & how it will be served 🙏🙏 Since it was the Ramadan menu we started with dates & salad & mini cucumbers & then moved onto lentil soup with Turkish bread followed by cigar rolls 😇😇 Each bite was beyond delicious & we looked forward to the main meal during which we had the Adana Kebab as well as Brochette de Poulet & wow ❤?❤? Our full compliments to the chef who made such delicacies with so much attention & care 🙏🙏 Finally we ended with Turkish tea & dessert (Baklava) & loved it so much that we got a box of exquisite Turkish baklava to go 😇😇 Cannot recommend this 11/10 Turkish restaurant to anyone in Saint-Laurent & beyond who wants to try exquisite delicious food with the best attentive staff who are always on their feet giving the best customer service ❤?❤?
Such a great experience! Everything-from the service to the food & presentation-was just as good as what you'd find in Turkey.
The fresh, warm pide bread was amazing, & the Adana kebab, beyti kebab, & mixed grill were absolutely delicious. The appetizers they brought at the start were also fantastic.
Bayram Bey was incredibly welcoming, & the staff were all very friendly & smiling. We really enjoyed it & will definitely come back. Highly recommend!
We loved our experience as a family of 5 - wonderfully authentic, warm & friendly service & atmosphere. Delicious kebabs, tajine & pide & generous portions. Turkish coffee absolutely delicious!
Gunaydin Restaurant in Montreal offers a very enjoyable dining experience with authentic Turkish flavors & generous portions. The meats are well seasoned & cooked nicely, especially the kebabs, which are flavorful & satisfying. Service is friendly & welcoming, & the atmosphere feels warm & traditional. While there's still a bit of room for improvement in consistency during busy hours, the overall quality, taste, & value make this place worth visiting. A solid choice for anyone craving good Turkish cuisine in the city.
My wife & I came here for a romantic dinner & had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is fantastic-beautiful decor, great music, & a really warm ambience that sets the perfect mood.
The food was absolutely delicious. We started with aubergine meze & complementary fresh homemade bread Tzatziki & Tomato Ezme, which was a very nice touch. For our mains, we ordered the Adana Kebab & the Mixed Pide-both were cooked perfectly & full of flavor.
A huge highlight for me was the ice-cold Ayran drink; it was incredibly refreshing. We finished the evening perfectly with some Turkish tea & Kunefe.
We enjoyed it so much that we are already planning to come back, but next time we'll bring the kids to try the breakfast!
It might be busy on Friday & Saturday night so it's better to call 🤙 & reserve a spot to avoid waiting or not being able to visit the place.
I tried Alinazik, the filet was super tender & juicy, very tasty dish…the Adana kebab sandwich was very good as well, service was great & fast. Staff were friendly. Don't forget reservation if you go for weekend brunch since it is very crowded.
Absolutely Delightful! This was our first visit to Günaydin. I had seen a reel on my Facebook feed about their traditional Turkish breakfast. On this occasion however we were there for dinner, we were a group of four. We were not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed. Looked forward to our meal. A nice selections of entrées: we had the ezme, the haydari & sarma. All accompanied with fresh warm bread! Our mains consisted of Adana kebab, kofta kebab & chicken brochette. Portions are generous! The food was fresh & delicious. & to round it all out, kunefe accompanied with tea for dessert. All in all a sumptuous feast! we had the opportunity to speak with one of the owners/manager Very cordial! . We look forward to returning, the next time for their breakfast
Thankful we reserved a table because it was packed full. Once we got seated, we were shown what was popular & we took the shared mixed meat plate that came with two dipping sauces & bread along with a Turkish tajine & a beyti kebab. It was tasty but at the same time average. It had nothing special & we thought the spices that should have been present was very mild. Their main dishes were the most enjoyable. What was disappointing was the baklava & the kunefe. The service was fine & have to chase them a bit to get something.
Overall, it's enjoyable but average.
Delicious, the restaurant itself was beautiful & clean, service was excellent, the food was delicious we ordered Adana kebab & lahmacun & both were perfectly done , I look forward to trying everything on their menu.
Overall experience was welcoming & the restaurant is beautiful. The food was decent but could use some work.
The adana kebab was very good but the chicken skewer isn't that great to be honest. It was chewy & was full of fat. Maybe use chicken breasts next time for your skewers. We also found the rice to be tasteless & the salad had a strong parsley taste to it. A bit is ok but too much is too much.
The desserts tasted good & fresh.
The one thing that shocked us was the pricing. 24.99 for a chicken skewer plate is pretty high. Most items are pretty expensive to be honest. We paid 250$ for 5 people & we were trying to not spend too much. 3.99 for a homemade ayran is very expensive. We can get a bottle of ayran for less at many places.
Overall, its an okay restaurant.
