When we arrived, we were told we could not be seated because the reservation was for a maximum of 6 guests. I've been to this restaurant many times before, which made the experience even more disappointing. I understand that policies exist, but when a friend is going through a hard time, I'm not going to ditch him & leave him behind over one extra seat at a table, especially on a special occasion. A little flexibility & understanding would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression.
I enjoyed Grille Nature a lot! Their menu could use a few more veggie sides/options. Their mains were fantastic. We got the half rotisserie chicken & the ribs. The fries were no exaggeration best fries i've ever had. Calamari was very crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. Service was fantastic; quick & friendly. Also nice to sometimes go out & have a parking lot & not have to fight for street parking! Would definitely come back. Great place for families, couples, amongst friends & even groups.
My wife & I had a fantastic date night at Grille-Nature. The food was excellent (especially the tuna appetizer !!), & the service was great. Atmosphere a bit on the loud side but don't let that stop you from coming & enjoying this fantastic restaurant. Plenty of parking as well 👍
Definitely coming back.
Had high expectations considering the reviews & pedigree of owners. Unfortunately, very disappointing. We had 8pm reservation for 5. Only given menu from someone 10 min after being seated. Waiter did not arrive for another 15 minutes. All this time we browsed the menu & chalk board deciding what to order. When waiter finally arrived & explained the menu, many of the options on board were no longer available. Waiter was friendly & knew his stuff but it would have been nice if person who gave us the menu informed us of all the dishes that were sold out. Also it's strange that so many items were no longer available since it was only 8pm. Waiter really pushed the porterhouse steaks & I'm sure the quality is good but we're more into ribey & there were none. We ordered multiple dishes to share. Some were just ok but several were flops. Some dishes were way too salty or the chicken dish that tasted like the sauce came from a low cost bottle. Basically, the execution was not very good. The atmosphere & look are beautiful. Our table was located under the vent so we were freezing. Also, I sat at the end of a long table but there was a piece of wood attached to the corner legs that made it very uncomfortable to sit because I had to sit with my feet under my chair or stretched out over the piece of wood. I'm tempted to give them another try as maybe it was just a bad night. It happens.
A great addition to the west island with a fantastic selection of market fresh food, super tasty with an amazing wine snd beer selection. Service was great & we got to watch the kitchen in full action. We ate so well there was no room.for dessert! Oh well we will just have to go back again!
Had an amazing experience with my family.
Scallops were phenomenal & the porc chop could feed a small family.
A great time & everything was very well/fairly priced.
Great atmosphere even had my 5 year old sitting down & enjoying her meal.
Food was so tasty!! Service at the bar was fun & fast, staff were excellent. Highly recommend.
Perfect for a good snack near le petit train du nord bike path. Sit outside & enjoy the surrouu
The food & service from Taylor & Jennie, our sommelier, were superb. The mortadella, gem salad, scallops, & pavlova, to name just a few dishes, were absolutely delicious & made for a memorable dining experience.
Unfortunately, our interaction with the hostess, Rose, left a very different impression. Our reservation was for 6:15 p.m., & while we were running slightly late, we attempted to call ahead to let the restaurant know. However, our call went straight to voicemail & we were unable to reach anyone. After checking the restaurant's website, we noted that there is a stated 15-minute grace period for reservations.
When we arrived at 6:28 p.m., well within that grace period, we were immediately met with an unfriendly & dismissive attitude from Rose. As first-time guests, this was disappointing & felt unnecessarily rude. Hospitality begins at the door, & our initial welcome did not reflect the high standard demonstrated by the rest of the staff.
Thankfully, the exceptional service from Taylor & Jennie, along with the outstanding food, more than redeemed the evening. While we thoroughly enjoyed our meal & would return for the cuisine & service, we hope management addresses the way guests are greeted & treated upon arrival.
