Dans l'ensemble, Gokudo est perçu comme un bar à cocktails cosy avec une ambiance agréable et des boissons créatives, ce qui en fait un lieu prisé pour les sorties romantiques; le service est globalement chaleureux et efficace, les plats et amuse-bouches arrivent rapidement, mais des moments d'inattention et des files d'attente peuvent survenir lors des heures de pointe; la carte propose des cocktails innovants et une belle sélection de saké et de whisky japonais, certains éléments étant salués pour leur originalité tandis que l'offre nourriture peut être limitée et les prix élevés; l'ensemble de l'expérience est jugé intéressante et mérite d'y revenir, l'ambiance et la qualité des boissons restant souvent des points forts, malgré des changements de personnel et une politique de paiement sans espèces parfois signalée.
I really enjoyed the experience I had at this bar. The service was polite & friendly, the interior decoration was remarkable & quite lovely, the drinks were fantastic & not too expensive. At least for the prices they charge, it was decent. My favourite thing about this bar is probably the fact that we had plenty of space at our table & around our table. It felt really spacious for once & we could really enjoy our drinks & talking to each other. The noise level was also just right, the music playing wasn't too loud or too quiet. The main downside however is probably that there is a longer wait time compared to a lot of other places. This comes back to the generous amount of space they give to each customer so there are less seats in consequence. But, I do feel like the wait time was worth it because I had an amazing time inside the bar.
Gokudo is a wonderful place to hang out & relax on a couch with friends & a drink. Beautiful atmosphere with excellent service! It's best to go early though, say around 5pm or so, when it's less crowded, less noisy & much more comfortable for quiet discussion. I couldn't say that the cocktails are the best in town, & the food is good but nothing to rave about, but it's lots of fun, especially if you want to show friends from out of town a good time. Recently, I tried the Wagyu Shot, which was fine, but didn't blow my mind. I wish they were less westernized in taste, & had more of a Japanese hit of flavour, with a spice of wasabi.

Came last night & sooo very disappointed with the food. The drinks & ambience were good, but don't come for the food. I had the 28$ "poke" & it was sooo bland, the tuna didn't taste like anything, & the shrimps were tiny - the kind you buy frozen from a grocery store just thawed up. I also had the picked veggie appetizer which lacked flavour & was only mildly pickled. Don't waste your money for food here...
I had a great time at this Japanese restaurant & bar. The ambiance & the vibe were really nice & relaxing. The music was not too loud & suited the mood. The food was delicious & authentic. I especially enjoyed the Sake & the Maki. The service was awesome & attentive. The staff were friendly & helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine & drinks.
Food was okay. Not really up to par with the price point. Place was nicely decorated but felt a little stiff. Cute spot for maybe a drink or two on a date night. Would not consider it for larger groups or longer stays.
Staff was exceptionally friendly & courteous. They provided a great experience.
Beautiful speakeasy. The outside was subtle—mainly black windows with a lantern near the door. Inside, the lighting was very dim, the decore was cozy yet mysterious. We got there close to opening on a Friday & it had a good amount of early birds there for a nice vibe. The drinks were great & service was very attentive. I felt like I was in Tokyo. Such a cool place to visit!
