We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue than GIA! The food was absolutely amazing, & the staff were incredibly gentle & attentive. Every detail was taken care of, & all our guests had the best time. The atmosphere was perfect, making our special day truly unforgettable. The 2 contre-filets we ordered was a big disappointement! Our waitress did not have a positive energy. She took a really long time to bring us the bills & split them weirdly. We didn't find the terasse chairs comfortable. We were really looking forward to trying it but the 4 of us wouldn't recommend it. Not a good price value. p.s. the croquettes & polenta were good though & the skewers, focaccia & fries were fine

I've been to Gia before & it never disappoints! They have a nice restaurant inside as well as a big tent outside for the summer. We came for my bday dinner & immediately made friends with the bartender, Jon, who was super nice! We had the garlic honey brioche bread (divine) with the lamb & beef arrosticini (dip the bread in the oils!). We also had the fish balls & the fennel salad, which were delicious too. The salad has a strong taste of anchovy if that isn't your thing. We got the tiramisu & I wasn't crazy about it - a bit too heavy on the dark chocolate & espresso taste. Oh & the filthy martini was very good! Overall great vibe. Prices on the higher side because you'll get multiple plates. Fun specials. Parking on the street.
The service left a lot to be desired. Our waitress was not very friendly & looked annoyed by questions we had for her. It was our first time & did not leave a very good impression.
The menu is small, but food is high quality & made with skill & care. Order the croquette du poison. The wine list is one of the best I've seen in the city. Our server (male, thin with glasses) was highly professional & attentive; qualities that are difficult to find post-pandemic.
11/10 experience. We recently had the pleasure of dining here, & I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. We hadn't planned to dine here, but after another restaurant had lost power, they called Gia to see if they could accommodate our table of 10 within minutes, also with a prix fixe menu. From the moment we arrived, Lawrence treated us like royalty. The service was impeccable. Larry & his crew were knowledgeable, attentive, & genuinely passionate about the food & experience. The menu is so unique & tasty, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail. Not only was the food delicious, but the portions were more than enough to feed all 10 of us! Overall, Gia exceeded all of our expectations. The combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, & a charming atmosphere makes this restaurant a must-visit.
Had such a wonderful night out! We messed up our reservation & only put 2 people instead of 3 but the welcoming waitor took such great care of us & made sure we felt welcomed while we waited for a table to free up that would accommodate us! Then at the table our waitress was so helpful & sold us the menu personably! She recommended a great wine! The food was fantastic too! Amazing gem - will be back for sure! Thanks for making us feel at home!!

3ième fois à ce restaurant depuis leur ouverture & les portions diminuent comme neige au soleil... Que se soit l'assiette & radis aux noisettes ou les micro-brochettes on frôle l'indécence. Il serait grand temps de réajuster car a ce rythme il ne restera plus de viande autour des pics de bois ;-)... à 800$ pour 4 personnes (incluant un enfant) on s'attend à ne pas avoir faim en terminant... Inflation des prix & diminution des portions.
La nourriture, le service, le personnel tout est extra plus plus plus. Belle ambiance, nous étions 60 pour un mariage, tout le monde a été servi en même temps c'était chaud, goûteux le gigot d'agneau wow j'en salive encore. Belle grande terrasse. Si ce n'était pas si loin de chez-nous j'y retournerais souvent. Bravo l'équipe pour l'excellente soirée que j'y ai passée.
J'ai découvert un restaurant merveilleux. La nourriture est plus que délicieuse, un vrai régal! L'ambiance est chaleureuse & sympathique & le service est impeccable. Le staff est attentionné, serviable & disponible. J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir!
My partner & I have been loyal Gia customers for the last few years. The food is always fantastic, the atmosphere is trendy & the service is impeccable (they really know their stuff). I highly recommend trying their wines as they have a broad selection of interesting imports available. Gia has a rotating menu with seasonal items, so you'll want to come back to try new things. They are able to accommodate for gluten free / celiac diets (many of the menu items don't contain gluten & they are careful about cross-contamination). & make space for dessert because it is always a highlight!
Absolutely love this place. Stumbled upon it & have been back since. The food is really good & tasty, the cocktails & wines are great. Love that this place has a laid-back vibe, you can dress-up & dress down. Hidden Gem!
Expérience hors du commun. Musique pas trop forte; il était facile de se parler. Excellent choix de vins. Larry comprenait parfaitement nos goûts & choisissait les produits parfaits. Quand à la nourriture, tout était excellent. Mention spéciale aux crostinis avec tomates séchées, au foie de pintade & au boeuf. Merci!

We were a table of 4. The locale is pretty cool. A touch loud but tolerable. Drinks ? So we can't make a cosmo because we have no cranberry juice (yes I'm old school). Ok let's have an Aperol spritz, sadly it's a little flat but we move on. We order a whole bunch of different entrees. Polenta, green bean salad, fennel salad, crostini & the focaccia. Everything was delicious &'fresh'. Fresh is in parenthesis because the young lady who was waiting on us used that description for almost every dish she explained. Although the dishes are pretty self explanatory. Our finished drinks stayed on the table a little too long & she never came back to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. So we flag her & order wine. We get our mains but still no wine. She finally comes with glasses & the bottle. & then proceeds to disappear with the bottle. We ask another staff member where the wine is because our mains are getting cold .... She proceeds to return with an opened bottle of wine & no cork She was making sure it was good. Euh no you open the bottle in front of me ... when I ask she told me that this is how sommeliers do it not to disturb the guests at the table. She has worked in a Michelin star restaurant & that's how it's done. Well I didn't share with her because it's not necessary but amongst the four of us we are well traveled & have done a few restos here & abroad, starred & not & no. You open the bottle where the guest can see you. You don't want to trouble? you do it in retreat but not where I can't see you. Anyhoo. This post has gone on enough. All is all food was really really worth it. Service staff was very friendly & smiling but this one girl although very sweet lost a lot of points with saying fresh 12 too many times & hiding to open our wine. Would go back ☺️
Been here twice, & would give it 4 & 2 stars respectively, so we'll average it at 3. Most recently was the Gia X Four Horsemen collaboration. Snow crab was ok - not mind blowing, not terrible, just ok. With the Gnocco Frito with prosciutto, the strongest flavour was the oil - heavy, oily, & largely bland. The beans with parmigianno was the best dish of the night. Original & delicious. The spaghetti was ok - having a large unmelted mass of cheese in the middle of a pasta dish is not ideal, IMO. The contre-filet with chanterelles was well cooked, but not exactly a dish bursting with flavour or coming together. The meat itself was tougher than one would expect, to the point I questioned if it was contre-filet, & overall it just fell flat - at $110 for the dish, one would expect something tastier or at least more unique. Service was good, except for the fact that when serving the table behind me & to the left, where there was a larger gentleman seated, the server bumped into my back every single time they passed. Atmosphere was lively.
