A great little greasy spoon diner! They have a great selection for both breakfast & lunch/dinner. The orders come out fast & hot. The servers are very nice. It's also quite a big restaurant, meaning even on Sundays when everyone is out for brunch, you'll most likely get a spot here. Also, something to keep in mind when looking for a good place to eat. I'd recommend the pulled pork grilled cheese; great value for the price. Or even the pulled pork poutine. The service continues to be good!
If you order delivery, just be aware they get orders wrong all the time. I've ordered delivery 4 times, & 2 of those were the wrong thing. (e.g. ordered a poutine with smoked meat, but they only send a regular poutine.)
I was lucky the driver was still outside so I got refunded the difference in price, but next time I'm going to look into the bag before paying...
This comfort food restaurant is tucked away at the edge of the Hochelaga strip. Everything about it aligns with what one imagined when they think'classic Montreal deli'. I opted for the CEO burger & was very satisfied with both the quality & size of the burger. The presentation of it was impressive also, but most of all what blew me away was the price. Very reasonably priced menu throughout. Service was friendly also. Keep up the great work, Gerry's.
Surprisingly nice experience with friendly fast service. No fuss simple meal at a good price! Will try again! I went for the smoked meat which was comparable to all the other big names so give it a try to see for yourself!
Always reliable for a place to grab some good old western cooking, deli sandwiches, pizza, sous-marins & more. But the service can be bare-bones, not friendly, just table service. Our waiter forgot my drink & didn't really look at us or follow-up after our meals were served. If the prices were lower, I wouldn't mind the mediocre service but I typically spend around $19-22 before tax. Husband loves the food here so won't be the last time we come by, but I might try take-out for the park next time.
We were having a dinner with my husband at Gerry's this Friday & absolutely loved it. The staff was super friendly & chatty. The guy who served us offered the deal of the day - it included fish & chips, soup, salad, coffee & dessert. The food was very fresh & tasty. The price was more than fair. Highly recommend this place!
the food was pretty good! overall very enjoyable & worth the price. unfortunately the service was pretty bad. the waitresses kept going to see other tables & didn't come to check on us once ☹️
