I was craving pizza so decided to stop by for a pie. Anna was amazing as our waitress & took good care of us. In my honest opinion, one of the best pizza's in Montreal. We also tried a fantastic pasta dish with braised beef. If I am not mistaken, I recall Anna saying the pasta dish was in its last days on the menu so you might not be able to get it but if you can.... Try it! Our old fashions were great & pizza was delicious! Definitely you should try the cauliflower appetizer. Tell em' Jay sent ya!!
Had a great time at Gentile Pizza Parlor last saturday evening with my friend. I particularily enjoyed the cozy & feel good vibe of the place. The decor is amazing! The staff is welcoming & very professionnal. The food is tasty & of very good quality. I cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend. Special thank you to Olivia for her First Class service!
Ambiance, nourriture & service A1! Une excellente place pour manger décontracté après le travail. Le personnel est chaleureux & accueillant. La pizza cuite à la perfection. L'entrée d'aubergines un incontournable!
Amazing food, service, team, & vibe. They go absolutely above & beyond.
Very disappointed with how the quality went down lately. Used to love their pizzas but the last couple times it has been average. Not enough sauce or cheese, seems like the pizzas got smaller & the prices way higher. Needed to pay extra for the sauce when it wasn't the case before. There are better & cheaper options on the island. Will not be going back.
It's always a great experience; the food & the drinks are good & its cute for date night.
Our group of 4 all unfortunately left disappointed. Gentile missed on attention detail & quality of product. No fault of our excellent server, seems more of a kitchen issue. To start, our mains all came out at different times. Not a few minutes apart, but 20 minutes apart. My dad finished his main before we received our pizza. When the pizzas finally came out, they were cold & not exactly as we had ordered. The waiter offered to reheat them for us, which we took her up on. As expected, the reheated pizza was overcooked & no different than leftovers. I doubt we will be back for dinner.
The best pizza I've ever had in Montreal, & it was take out which is never as good as eat in, brings me back to Italy, loved it,
Awesome 👍 Pizza 🍕😋& 🍝 pasta,also enjoy delicious desserts & coffee ☕ espresso
Food is excellent so is service I can't knock it, but on takeout the "large" caeser salad is microscopic, 20$ & it doesn't even feed my child
I had a great experience dining here. I ordered the artichokes, burrata salad, & two pies, & everything was delicious. The service was excellent-friendly & attentive. I'll definitely be coming back!
I came in with high expectations given the reviews & was disappointed. The atmosphere is nice. The pepperoni pizza is decent. But the 4 cheese pizza was bland. Normally in a 4 cheese pizza there's a little kick from the gorgonzola, this pizza doesn't have it. Instead, they have truffle honey, which is underwhelming. Overall I found the pizza to be rather bland. The veal meatball was OK but the tomato sauce was watery & tasteless. There was nothing exciting about the food. Total including taxes & tip was 136$ for 2 pizzas, a lasagna, eggplant parm & 1 veal meatball. I might go back for a slice of pepperoni if I'm in the area, but otherwise there are many other Italian restaurants I'll go back to before this one.
Good restaurants stand out for their exceptional food, welcoming atmosphere, & attentive service. A great dining experience is marked by dishes that are not only delicious but also creatively presented, using fresh & high-quality ingredients. The ambiance plays a crucial role too, providing a comfortable & inviting setting that complements the meal. Friendly & knowledgeable staff can elevate the experience, making guests feel valued & well-cared for. Overall, a good restaurant is one that leaves you satisfied, eager to return, & happy to recommend to others.
Don't be confused that there is a connected Italian restaurant next door. The pizza parlor is on the right. The pizza is delicious & you must try the garlic knots. I suspect they are balls of dough, breaded (really!) & deep fried. They were so good & different than other garlic knots/bread than I've had before. I'd love to go back during my vacation & just might do so!

While I enjoyed the (very very expensive - $32 ) pizza, the césar salad was inedible. Lettuce drowned in vinaigrette, looked more like poutine than césar salad. No Parmesan, no croutons, no anchovies (in spite of having specified WITH anchovies), no nothing. Lettuce leaves in what tasted like a bottled sauce. We sent it back & when the salad came back it was identical, albeit with a tad less - but still WAY too much gross vinaigrette. Tasted nothing like a césar. I feel we should not have been charged for this extremely under par salad as we did not touch it. As we were leaving I could hear the waiter singing the praises of their césar salad to the customers who had just sat down & that's what made me decide to write a review. D NOT order the césar salad. That said, the sister restaurant Gentile's next door has a great césar salad so it's not like they don't know how... it was just a really cheap version with no vision & no effort & lousy ingredients.
