I stumbled upon this restaurant & have rarely felt so fortunate. Theo has poured his heart & soul into this place & it shows. The menu makes it very difficult to choose, but you cannot go wrong. Everything is delicious & makes you want to come back the next day to try the dishes you didn't choose the first time. My only recommendation is that the signage be better as I walked past it a few times before realizing where it was. Theo might be the only person who wants this place to succeed more than I do.Voir plus

We came for our 14th anniversary with my sister & brother in law. Theodore was wonderful providing suggestions & information about the wines & each course. Started with oysters & saganaki. Scallop & salmon sashimi for the first course - delicate flavors, perfect texture. Halibut & grilled octopus next. Last monkfish pithivier - glorious!!! The mushrooms & Swiss chard under the pastry! We also got to try the sirloin & it was spectacular. I rarely order beef out because we can cook it perfectly at home but the dry aging & treatment of this piece is beyond my skill. We enjoyed both desserts & had a digestif cocktail that I don't remember the name of but it was delicious. We also really appreciated Franck's suggestions - he says we should have got the mushroom ravioli (next time) - & his Armagnac (that is older than I am) was amazing & it was interesting learning more about it. I'm disappointed. Maybe it's just the "Montreal à la table menu" but i was left on my appetite on a 83$ 4-course menu. The appetizer was 1 bite & my main plate was 4 raviolis. The taste is decent but the price & the experience was not worth it.Voir plus

What an incredible dining experience! Everything was perfect. Every dish was phenomenal in taste & presentation. The service was impeccable - Theo was a gracious & amazing host. Ok. I’m here live. I never (or rarely) write reviews but this place deserves one. Best restaurant I’ve been to since pre-Covid on all fronts & I dine out a lot. The food was unbelievable from the oysters down to desserts. The clams casino are to die for. The bass was spectacular. The service was bar-none the best. Theo was a gem & we would honestly come back just for him. AMAZING overall. 20/10 recommend!!! Keep up the good work. Montreal needs more restaurants like you guys.Voir plus
Wow! Quelle superbe expérience. Pour nos anniversaire, mon amie & moi avons choisi de visiter le Garde-Côte vendredi dernier. Nous avons été servies par Romain qui nous a donné un excellent service & nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer Theo qui s'est assuré que nous étions satisfaites entre chaque service. Ils ont même ajouté une petite touche spéciale pour souligner nos anniversaires. Service impeccable, chaleureux & professionnel. Cuisine de haute qualité. J'y reviendrai certainement. Nous sommes allé ce soir au garde-côte, quelle expérience!!!! Notre serveur Romain a été vraiment gentil, mais que dire de Théo qui nous a même offert un verre. L’expérience était unique & la nourriture d’une fraîcheur exquise. Nous avons commandé le loup de mer, nous avons eu le sashimi de saumon, les huîtres (wowwww), le tartare de thon & le filet mignon. Tout était bon. Leurs suggestions sont à point. Bref pour une fois expérience réussi c’est ce restaurant à tout prix. Merci encore.Voir plus
Garde Cote was recommended to us by Hotel Nelligan as we we couldn’t get into Joe Beef. We were wonderfully surprised by this choice, & turned out to be a quality meal. The manager/owner made sure to sell us a carry of great options to create our own custom tasting menu that accommodated our allergies. The Chilean sea bass was absolutely amazing, as well as the sides & dips! Be sure to give them a try

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, & especially our desserts, at this restaurant. Highly recommend the lobster roll. The pastry chef came to the table to explain the desserts. They sounded so good that we ordered all of them to share & they exceeded our expectations. They were amazing! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Montreal.
