Excellent way to try a new cuisine & experience new dishes, drinks, desserts, etc. the fattouche was a highlight for me. Great value & perfect for a small group of people. Made a day-of reservation for a Friday night. The patio is absolutely beautiful too.
Cozy Lebanese place downtown, with a variety of dishes. Fatteh hummus, a yogurt base with crispy pita, cashews, & pomegranate to top. Really crunchy with a great texture profile to accompany their tough flatbread. I really adored their sojok, a crumbly beef sausage that was salty with some Middle Eastern undertones. It came with pomegranate syrup for some sweet & sticky contrast. Garlic potatoes had a crispy exterior, slightly soft interior, appropriate amount of seasoning, & garlic sauce was nice but they put it in a shallow bowl & it got everywhere. Their kenafeh was a sweet, pastry, slightly wet from a syrup on a bed of cheese. It was fragile compared to the tough cheese & the taste was fine.
Authentic lebanese restaurant. We got halloumi chese, kebab, & hummus. It was a great experience.
Very authentic Lebanese taste. From the ambiance, smell, aromas & menu everything inspired me Lebanon. Great service, amazing staff & very short waiting time. I would encourage you to book your table in advance because it was fully booked when I went there. Totally recommend it.
Probably my favorite Lebanese joint in Montreal, which is saying something. I have eaten a lot of Lebanese cuisine. It's not often that I wonder, then, if I'm currently having the best Lebanese restaurant meal of my life. Garage Beirut had me wondering this. The dishes are as classic as they come, yet surprise with how well they're executed. The kibbeh was refined. The shish taouk was on point. The filet mignon was as soft as they come. The owner was a gentleman. Exceptional.
Great food. Really unique choices. Wait time without reservation was around 30 minutes on a busy Canada Day weekend. Our server was really nice & knowledgeable. The also had complimentary pita bread that they would keep replenishing. I would definitely go back.
Most authentic Lebanese restaurant in Montreal! I had the Dip Taster, which was delicious & beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the Muhammara dip. Excellent & very helpful service, in a warm & homey atmosphere. Highly recommend! I only wish that they made falafel sandwiches.
