About

Garage Beirut serves authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes that emphasize traditional preparation methods and bold, aromatic spice profiles. The menu showcases a variety of charcoal-grilled meats, savory mezze platters, and fresh vegetable preparations rooted in Mediterranean culinary traditions. Guests interact with an environment defined by industrial-inspired aesthetics that contrast with the warmth of classic Levantine hospitality. Each plate focuses on the balance of textures, utilizing essential ingredients like tahini, zaatar, and hand-pressed olive oil to ground the flavor experience. This establishment prioritizes the integrity of regional staples by maintaining consistent standards for authentic preparation and plate presentation. The atmosphere remains structured around casual communal engagement, allowing the robust flavors of the Levant to take center stage in every serving provided to the patrons.

Garage Beirut is widely regarded as a hidden gem in Montreal, celebrated for its authentic and flavorful Lebanese cuisine that captures a homemade, traditional quality. Diners frequently praise the cozy and welcoming atmosphere, which many describe as feeling like a home-cooked experience. The staff is consistently highlighted for being friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, adding to the overall positive dining experience. While some guests find the portions small or the prices higher than expected, the majority of visitors consider the quality of the ingredients, such as the fresh dips, tender grilled meats, and standout appetizers, to be well worth the visit, making it a highly recommended destination for those seeking a memorable and genuine meal.

Probably my favorite Lebanese joint in Montreal, which is saying something. I have eaten a lot of Lebanese cuisine. It's not often that I wonder, then, if I'm currently having the best Lebanese restaurant meal of my life. Garage Beirut had me wondering this. The dishes are as classic as they come, yet surprise with how well they're executed. The kibbeh was refined. The shish taouk was on point. The filet mignon was as soft as they come. The owner was a gentleman. Exceptional.

Cozy small lebanese restaurant. The food was amazing, feels like you actually are in Lebanon. The service is excellent, the waiters are very friendly. I ordered taboule, shish taouk & kafta.

I've eaten in this restaurant a couple of times & usually I'm taking the Kibbeh Nayyeh, mezza plates selection & the mixed grill. This time we wanted to try some different dishes alongside the Kibbeh Nayyeh that is still unique & tasty. We took the Sujuk which was very flavorful, the Shanklish which was a bit bland, the Shish taouk which needed more spices & the kebab which was a bit dry. In the past, I enjoyed much more from the food there. I hope they will improve soon because they have a lot of potential (& I think the only restaurant in Mtl that serves Kibbeh Nayyeh:).

That day I felt like eating Shish Taouk so I thought of Garage Beirut; & I was well served. I enjoyed the Fatoush but not the Fatayer Sbenegh as much. That's why I didn't give the food 5 stars. The service was very good. The place can use some renovation, hence the 4 stars for the atmosphere. All in all, a good experience.

Overall, it was a good experience. There were a few things that could've been better. Paying 20$ for a few pieces of shish taouk was a little expensive considering it didn't come with any sides, but still, it was very flavourful. Growing up as an Armenian/Lebanese, food was an abundance, & I find most Middle Eastern restaurants lack that. But again, it's a restaurant, I get it. Overall, everything tasted pretty authentic, & I would recommend this restaurant! I would definitely come back!
