This was the perfect find for two English people from Birmingham. Excellent food, attentive service & the perfect atmosphere. It felt like a home from home, which wasn't surprising after we found out that the owner had once lived & worked on the Ladypool Road. Superb experience.Voir plus

Being Indian, we wanted to eat some comfort food, & this restaurant did not disappoint. I visited this restaurant with my partner on a rainy day last month during our trip to Montreal, & we were in a bit of a rush, with only 50 minutes to dine. We informed the manager & staff about our time constraint before placing our order, & they assured us they would expedite everything, promising we'd be done within 40 minutes. Given how busy the restaurant was, we were skeptical. However, to our pleasant surprise, everything went smoothly! We ordered the Menu Combo for Two, & not only did the food arrive on time, but the quality exceeded our expectations. The masala chai, gulab jamun, & kheer were delicious, but the highlight for me was the naan-soft, warm, & fresh, just like I remember from India. Kudos to the staff for their excellent service. This was one of the most memorable meals I've had in Montreal, & I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!Voir plus

This is a very good Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing & the tables nicely set. We enjoyed the beef somosas; so crispy & the dough was nice & light. Chicken korma & Naan were very good as well. Would go back.Voir plus

Parfait pour un lunch d'affaires le midi comme ce n'est pas trop bruyant comme restaurant. Nous étions 6 personnes & nous avons reçu un excellent service (très chaleureux) & la nourriture était délicieuse. This is one of my favorite spots to visit for lunch or dinner when I am in Montreal. It is such a pleasant little restaurant, with windows along the front & one side of the building, sunny, pleasant, clean, relaxing & friendly! The staff are so pleasant & helpful & quick to help you get your food selected & ordered, but best of all the aroma of all the wonderful, fresh, delicious spicy or mild food dishes wakes up your appetite in anticipation of tasting your order! It is so pleasant & relaxing to sit down here & slowly, peacefully enjoy a delicious meal! The desserts are amazing as are the drinks & lassie yogurt drinks. As well, the location near the Old Port of Montreal is so wonderful I always love to visit the Gandhi Restaurant. If you have a chance to visit & love authentic Indian Food I very highly recommend that you give it a try you won't be disappointed. AnthonyVoir plus

I'm a little conflicted with this review. The food was fresh, made to order, & exactly as we wanted it. It seems as though it is an Indian restaurant trying to be French. There were cloth tablecloths & napkins, a lot of cutlery, wait staff dressed in black vests. The menu was much too large. The portion sizes were small. Although large enough for me, if we didn't order the rice, wouldn't have been enough for my husband. My suggestion to them is to simplify the menu & restaurant. People go to indian restaurants for a taste of India.Voir plus

Majority of the reviews has one thing in common - Food lacks flavour, spices & salt in the dishes .Disappointing to see that the issue still persists & restaurant doesn't seem to have made any changes in the kitchen.
