Still excellent service but still lacks ambiance. The dining room is still unsettlingly cold & the sound system is still completely inaudible. Flavour points were underwhelming across the board. The only vegetable in the korma aside from beans & onion were sad little chunks of potato. I could elaborate about the floury bhaji & chalky paneer but on a positive note: The chicken tikka was passable with a nice smokiness to it. Montreal is a great city for Indian cuisine but you'll have to journey out of Old Montreal to actually get some.

Good enough service, some outstanding food (onion bhaji, naan, lamb sagwala) but some odd choices too. Lots of things were inappropriately sweet, including the rice. Butter chicken tasted like they had accidentally used sweetened coconut milk instead of unsweetened. Nothing we ate had the slightest hint of spiciness, mostly balanced okay but super super mild.

The eggplant & okra dishes were missing the tomatoes & quite flavorless. Tandoori chicken was dry & very sparse...four small pieces. Been there a few times...this was most likely my last time.

An excellent meal. Ample portions. I had a chicken dish & my wife had a vegetarian one. & coconut rice. Both of us had naan. Decor was nice, really appreciated the linen tablecloths.
Our only complaint was the lack of attention after the entree. Nobody came by to see if we wanted coffee & dessert until we finally caught someone's attention. Both pistachio cake & rice pudding were excellent, although the portion of cake was small. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

Excellent service by Marc Antonio, nice location. Food was good, some dishes better than others. The beef madras was excellent, spicy & flavorful. Also really enjoyed the shrimp tandoori tilapia. The buttered chicken was dry & I did not like the sauce. Atmosphere is nice but not fancy

Visiting Ghandi was a memorable experience. Our party of 4 was expertly guided through the menu & all the dishes were delicious. Tandoori chicken, lamb passander, vegetable biryani, okra, & garlic naan. The flavours were distinct & beautifully balanced. The service was attentive without being too much & the atmosphere relaxed & welcoming.
A gem in the heart of old Montreal & a welcome change from French bistro fare. Highly recommend!

None of the food is as advertised as their promotional pictures. There are no serving metal bowls nor communal sharing, wether it be you thali or other, everything will arrive on a plate. 6 pieces of chicken breast cubed in salty sauces will run you at 20$. This is not just an outrageous price issue, the food was equivalent to what you could find on an airplane. The tablecloths are stained, as are the aprons of the staff. This went above & beyond food served to clueless visitors, it had all the appeal of a frozen meal from the grocery store. Old Montreal will always have tourist traps but this was shocking, save your taste buds & hit up a Bistro.

The service was perfect , well seated & quick service , this pieced of lemon in the water is very nice touch , (if mint is added will be perfect)
We ordered an Entrée Assorti, the chicken tikka was a bit dry but well seasoned , bhaji & samoussa were good
For the main dish we ordered vindaloo , Rogan & Butter Chicken
I loved the Vindaloo although chicken was a bit dry , but it was really spicy & I loved that as I am a big fan of spicy food , the Rogan was fine , the butter chicken was sweet , we don't like sweet butter chicken but that is maybe the style how the restaurant cook it , & maybe there are people who love it that way ..
The Cheese Naan is THE BEST we had in town so far , extremely good
In a whole it was a nice experience , especially that the restaurant is located in the heart of Old Montreal

Restaurant was very loud-hard to have a conversation in a normal speaking tone. Some parts of the dinner were fine-the starter & samosas-butter chicken was ordered & was not hot-barely warm.

We went to Ghandi's a couple of years ago & the food was delicious. The chef or the administration must have changed since. Last night we were offered a generic menu with tens of choices, & the food was not good. The chicken tikka was not fresh. It was a very disappointing experience. We can find better Indian food at fast-service type Indian take-out.

Impeccable service. Immaculate white table cloth setting. Best Indian food we have ever experienced. The chicken tikka masala & canard tikka were wonderful. You must try the lentil soup. Thank you for a perfect evening!

It is hard to say that this might be the best Indian restaurant in Montreal. The menu is comprised of dishes from all over India. Must tries are the Lamb Tikka Rejalla, Tandoori Chicken & their fantastic vegetable dishes. The service is also great & the staff are available to answer questions & suggest dishes. Highly recommended!

So we went to Gandhi on the dated recommendation of friends. The food was good but way, way overpriced! $9 for a small bowl of rice! The butter chicken was ok but there were 9 pieces of chicken. Way overpriced. We had a fantastic dinner at a similar sized place in New York that was far more reasonably priced. Not worth the money.
