Everything was delicious, & the sauces were especially amazing! The flavors were so good & really made each dish stand out. The cup-bap, pork, & Buldak were my favorites - especially the Buldak, which was absolutely delicious!
The fried shrimp & fried dumplings were also incredibly crispy, & the sauces were so flavorful. Everything was fresh, crispy, & satisfying. I'll definitely be back to try more. Highly recommend!
Oh my god best food I've ever eaten
If you're planning on eating here please starve yourself or else you're gonna explode cuz you're gonna wanna eat everything
In the images I got thecupbap aux crevettes tempura it's was good but big portion but I loved it & we got the chichitteok it's my first time trying it. it was kinda hard to chew but the sauce was so amazing
& we also got the new menu riz au poulet teriyaki & oeuf brouillés it was rlly good
We also got extra shrimp tempura & the octopus balls
55$ (with taxes) for 3 ppl
The only problem is that there's literally 3 tvs playing different K-pop videos & one of them the music kinda gets annoying but it's fine it doesn't really bother that much
I don't usually write Google reviews for restaurants, but I had such a nice dinner at Ganadara during my trip to Montreal that I felt like I should leave one.
I'm a Korean living in a small town in Canada, so I don't often go to Korean restaurants when I travel (I usually just cook at home). But my kids really wanted tteokbokki, so we stopped by Ganadara, & I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious, the place was clean, & the staff were kind. The owner even came out of the kitchen to say goodbye to us.
We loved the'poutine tteokbokki' so much that we ordered another one to go. Right after we left, some sauce leaked out because of a small mistake my son made. He went back in to ask for an extra bag, but instead of just giving him one, they completely repacked the food in a new container. It was so thoughtful, & we really appreciated it.
We also chatted with a Taiwanese couple who knew a little Korean sitting next to us, & it was also a really sweet & fun moment.
All in all, delicious food, kind people, & a warm experience. Highly recommend!
I came to Ganadara on Mackay for a weekend lunch with girlfriends. I ordered the Tteokbokki with Mandu & it was so delicious; sweet & spicy, & I really liked that they pan fried the fish cake instead of cooking it directly into the sauce because it gave a nice texture to the dish. My girlfriends had the Chicken Katsu Curry & the Soondubu Jigae with Bulgogi, which they really enjoyed. I've tried two other Ganadara locations before & I thought the food there was just so-so, but I'm glad I gave the Mackay location a try because the food here was great.
On my friend's recommendation, I went to a Korean restaurant to eat bibimbap. The quality of the food was good, but it was not like the picture on the menu. I ordered chicken bibimbap & I had heard from my friend that it has a layer of rice, a layer of vegetables containing mushrooms, carrots, & other vegetables, & an egg. Fried. But my dish had soft-boiled eggs & no layer of vegetables, but there was a little salad on the side of my plate. Actually, my food is rice & chicken It was with special sauce & salad, & of course it was delicious & very spicy.
My friends & I have been to this ganadara location quite a few times during the semester, we were always pleased with the service provided & always left with a full stomach!! The food is to die for - the rosé tteokbokki comes with plenty of sauce, 3 mandu dumplings & 2 big sausages which is plenty for it's price - the pricing is very reasonable & the service is quick so it's a very convenient place to get food in between classes!
