The food is awesome. It is a really nice friendly place. The atmosphere wasn't really there. It felt like a place to eat & have a conversation, even if with noone but the staff. No music whatsoever but was calm enough. The chicken & the calamari tasted great but it took a bit of time before we got the food.View more

The service was excellent until the bill was paid. The server rudely complained that the tip was not enough & demanded more. The tip was 15%. The garlic shrimp was dry. The calamari was also overcooked. The croquettes were delicious. The dishes were well overpriced for the quality & quantity received. Not much of a beverage selection.View more
Amazing Portuguese food! I'm visiting this place for years now, it's a hidden gem in Mount Royal. The food, the service & the selction of imported Portuguese wines are the reasons why you should go to Galo. You should also come here in the summer to enjoy the tables outside if you can.View more
