Food. Only had the steamy hot dog.
It was a classic steamed bun, but the coke slaw was crazy overly sweet & dominated the taste over the mustard & the dog. The dog itself had very little discernible flavour. Sadly I was looking to find a cool patate chien chaud place outside of La Bell & La Fleur, but unfortunately the dogs were not as good at $1.99 a dog it's on par for price it's jus not a tasty hot dog is all. They do make a home made fry but did t get a chance.
Service is nice & also prompt.
Atmosphere. Up front it's a take out but they do have seating in the back.
I had been yearning for a classic hot dog in Montreal style & was pleased to try this place. Everything seemed nice, placed smelled clean, looked clean & organized & well spoken team.
Food was made in like 30 seconds.
I'm sad to say that the hot dog itself is not a tasty variety. The wrapper says Schneider, not sure if this is the brand. I have had Schneider at Wilensky & they were to die for. This is meh, bland at best. Then you add the super sweet slaw & what seemed to be a minute amount of mustard & you have a pore Montreal steamy hot dog.
I am not saying that their other offerings are not good, I'm only referring the steamed hot dogs is all.
Go again. No, not for a hot dog but I would try a fry or poutine.
Inconspicuous hole in a wall that hides a real gem. Cash only spot for classic quebec cuisine. Burgers are good, hot dogs are always the best, & the cheese curds are always fresh.
