We came hoping to get warm. The hot pot choice was soothing, the pictures on the menu were very inviting. After we ordered the hot pot, we waited 45 minutes in the restaurant rather spacious room unfortunately practically unheated.
When asked what was safe for a person with seafood allergy, the chef who spoke very good English, said that all frying options were safe. Oooops, there was a takoyaki balls, octopus, deadly for a person with seafood allergies.
Hotpot arrived, smelling divine, goji berries floating on the surface
The chicken inside was overcooked, dry & bland, the beef that was described as Angus beef in the menu was previously frozen & had no taste, the pork balls we're delicious
Very disappointing overall.
The price of the hot pot for 2 ended up being over 100$, oh well what a waste

What a surprisingly fantastic experience I had at this restaurant. My son & I often visit Chinatown but had never noticed this gem. It caught my attention yesterday & we wandered in for the first time. I'm so happy we did! The service was fast & friendly. The food was DELICIOUS. The spicy szechuan beef was INCREDIBLE. I also got to try a bit of my son's beef ramen & truly it was SO enjoyable. That experience made my whole day. We will definitely be back! Hats off to the chef who is doing great work (& was incredibly kind).

My mother & I found this place by chance & we were incredibly impressed. Raymond (the owner) is an absolute gem! He was sooo sweet & he was especially helpful with my mother's food restrictions. The food is absolutely delicious & MSG free, & all of his ingredients are very fresh. I especially loved the Angus Beef Ramen. The spot itself is very clean & has a really beautiful mural on the wall. The prices are very reasonable too. I'm definitely coming back!!

First off, service quality & atmosphere are top notch. Second however; I had the beef ramen & I could tell that some of the ingredients were not particularly the freshest, especially the noodles (which if you're trying to market yourself as authentic you should have) although I may be completely wrong. The beef & toppings were great, would like the eggs to be a little less cooked to get that jammy texture. The broth was average, its definitely above what you'd get just all packaged, but not much more. To be quite honest I feel like the ramen should be 1-2 dollars cheaper. Come for a cute atmosphere & a comfy meal, but don't expect anything spectacular.
