We ordered from Uber eats & I don't understand the hype. It's such an utter dissapointment. Shish taouk plate has dry rice & is super bland, portion is small, saj bread is like a cheap dry tortilla. The authentic Syrian bread for the sandwich is like a cheap hot dog bread. The fatouch as fresh but a little too oily & also lacking flavour. There are much better restaurants if you want good middle eastern food.
I had been looking forward to trying Folfol. What an experience. The Uber driver did not even ring my doorbell so the food stayed outside my apartment for a while. When I took the bag it ripped & everything fell out. The fries were all over the floor & the eggplant dip spilled half way. The sandwich fell open. What a disaster. So the plate of shish taouk & lamb was intact but so dry. Inedible I had to throw it out. The sandwich was delicious but the bread was so thin it fell completely apart. Overall not a very good experience. Never ordering from there again
Falafel & Shish taouk sandwiches were SWEET instead of salty! Not sure where the sweetness is coming from, but 100% it ruined the flavor :(
Le sandwich n'est vraiment pas assez garni pour le prix, ça manque également de gout
Le service était impeccable. J'ai pris un sandwich shish taouk & honnetement: meilleur sandwich de montreal.
I had to delete my previous five-star review of today's disaster sandwich. The bad music started it off, but the real kicker was the cashier. They were constantly chatting in the kitchen, completely ignoring me. To top it all off, they gave me a spicy sandwich I didn't order, so I had to throw it away. It was a total mess & a huge disappointment.
Delicious shawarma! The chicken & lamb are both phenomenal. Have gotten take-out from here many times & it's consistently very tasty. Definitely on the pricey side for shawarma, but the sandwiches are quite big (& yummy!) so you get your money's worth.
I recommend take-out or delivery - there are a few bar seats inside but it's quite tight & there's a constant flow of delivery drivers coming up to the counter, so the vibes aren't ideal.
Service has left something to be desired every time I've been here - it's always VERY well-staffed, but it takes a very long time to place an order in-person (I assume it's because they're busy preparing delivery orders).
Will be back!
Will unfortunately never return.
Chicken sandwiches were not good (chicken seemed ok but the sauce had a weird taste).
The fattouche was not very tasty.
The floor is extremely dirty especially at the far left in the customer area (definitely floors never scrubbed).
The young guy at the cash was really nice but the girl was quite rude.
I am so disappointed in folfol. I ordered yesterday fattoush, mtabbal & chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good but small. The mtabbal portion is getting smaller & smaller with time. & the fattoush, which is usually my favorite plate from folfol, was so disappointing: absolutely no herbs, just a couple of mint leaves (no parlsey, no ba2leh). & a ridicolously small amount of grilled bread to go on top. Not sure if it is my bad luck or the quality of the food is dropping. I am hoping it is just a fluke…
