The chicken & lamb shawarma tasted good, but what really disappointed was the size & the amount of filling.
This was my first time ordering from this place. I was super hungry & usually order from Boustan, but I saw this one first on the app, reviews seemed good, well presented, & it was close to my place, so I thought, why not?
The delivery took a little longer than the scheduled time, but that's not the restaurant's fault.
Then I opened the bag… & honestly, I was shocked by the portion!! Two of these small shawarmas would probably make one regular from Boustan!!
What makes it even more disappointing is that the app shows the small size at around $13, with the option to add the large for another $7. For what I received, the value just wasn't there.
The taste was good, but unfortunately, I won't be ordering from here again.
Delicious shawarma! The chicken & lamb are both phenomenal. Have gotten take-out from here many times & it's consistently very tasty. Definitely on the pricey side for shawarma, but the sandwiches are quite big (& yummy!) so you get your money's worth.
I recommend take-out or delivery - there are a few bar seats inside but it's quite tight & there's a constant flow of delivery drivers coming up to the counter, so the vibes aren't ideal.
Service has left something to be desired every time I've been here - it's always VERY well-staffed, but it takes a very long time to place an order in-person (I assume it's because they're busy preparing delivery orders).
Will be back!
Will unfortunately never return.
Chicken sandwiches were not good (chicken seemed ok but the sauce had a weird taste).
The fattouche was not very tasty.
The floor is extremely dirty especially at the far left in the customer area (definitely floors never scrubbed).
The young guy at the cash was really nice but the girl was quite rude.
I am so disappointed in folfol. I ordered yesterday fattoush, mtabbal & chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good but small. The mtabbal portion is getting smaller & smaller with time. & the fattoush, which is usually my favorite plate from folfol, was so disappointing: absolutely no herbs, just a couple of mint leaves (no parlsey, no ba2leh). & a ridicolously small amount of grilled bread to go on top. Not sure if it is my bad luck or the quality of the food is dropping. I am hoping it is just a fluke…
Disgusting! My daughter ordered sandwiches for us & they were dry with no veggies -- just chicken, some crappy flavourless sauce & a pickle. We couldn't even eat them. Awful! What a scam!
If you're bored of salads & Portuguese chicken, FolFol is the BEST healthy takeout option. Big portions great flavours !
Unfortunately i didn't take photos of the place or food...
I ordered 2 sandwiches 1 chicken & 1 beef shawarma.
The prices are a little bit expensive (20$/sandwich) but you pay for quality ingredients & nice syrian flavorful sandwiches.
I would go again & recommend eating there as the average cost of a sandwich in the city of montreal is 15$ & for 5$ more you have a big & really tasty one.
Simply the best take out restaurant in Montreal! The entire menu is delicious, fresh & well prepared. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful with recommendations. I really enjoy how fast their service is. They have the best chicken or lamb sandwiches, prepared fresh in just 5 minutes. They specialize in prepared Syrian dishes that you pick up & cook at home, in about 15 minutes, very easy & convenient. I strongly recommend!
Expensive but honestly sooo worth it. That chicken shawarma plate is so flavourful
We got dinner delivered from here. Everything was carefully packaged, with attention to detail to ensure the food was the best it could be once it was eaten (e.g. the fattoush had separate components to be mixed at home). Overall the food was delicious. The lamb was super soft & tender. The spinach pressed saj was another highlight. As were the chicken shawarma & mutabul betterave. It's quite expensive, but I would eat here again for a special occasion.
