This is my first time eating afghan food & it was delicious, I will definitely come back. Also, the owner is so sweet with us, the experience is really good! I highly recommend people to try! 😍
This restaurant is criminally underrated & one of the best kept secrets in Montreal. My group of friends has come here two years in a row for our holiday dinner, & both times we were accommodated in the private room at the back at no extra cost. They even provided a speaker to hook up our own music. For the meal, we went with the table d'hôte, for which there are two options (one at $39.95 & one at $49.95). Both options come with an appetizer, main, dessert & Afghani tea, however the more expensive meal includes a larger selection of appetizers & additional main courses. You cannot go wrong, but I highly recommend paying the additional cost so that you can have the manto or ashak as your appetizer. I picked the chabli kabob as my main which had the perfect level of juiciness & spice, & came with deliciously aromatic sides (ride & salad). The portions are very generous & it's possible you'll leave with some to bring home. For dessert, I had the baklava which was perfectly flaky & syrupy. All in all, I find it rare to get food of this quality & quantity at this price point in Montreal, plus it is BYOW so you save a ton of money on drinks. I didn't even mention how incredible the service is. The staff are all so gracious & kind. I would not hesitate to return to this restaurant!
Excellent restaurant aux saveurs du Moyen-Orient. Un superbe resto à découvrir a un prix plus que raisonnable. Une ambiance chaleureuse & un service attentionné. Recommande fortement.
Great Afghan restaurant. The mantos & the meats are delicious. Having some persian blood, I love their traditional cooking: it has a lot of points in common. The rice is perfectly cooked everytime. The staff is attentive & responsive. A great experience at every visit. I highly recommend!

Super belle expérience culinaire, notre pauvre serveur était seul dans le restaurant à servir & à cuisiner, il s'est débrouillé super bien malgré tout. Nous avons mangé comme des reines 👑 un vrai délice je le recommande!
Going to be dreaming of this food for weeks… The food, the service, the hospitality & the authentic Afghan food are second to none at Fenetres sur Kaboul. You can truly feel the soul of the restaurant through the perfectly seasoned meals & through the wonderful staff. I could really feel the warmth & tradition throughout the whole dining experience. Could not recommend more!
Literally hands down the meat dish I've ever had. I was legit having a foodgasm when eating the Zardak Chalow! It is a veal dish with carrots much like a curry, very soft & full of rich flavours that melt together in your mouth. The accompanying salad & rice was nice as well with a hint of sumac, goji berries & saffron. The black tea was also good & cardamom & other spices. Overall highly recommend !!!

On hésitait à y aller parce qu'on avait lu des commentaires qui disaient que le service était lent, mais franchement ça n'était vraiment pas le cas!!! On avait une réservation pour 19:30, & à 20:45 on avait terminé, le service était très bien & les plats délicieux, surtout les raviolis afghans & l'agneau. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant!!
Amazing afghan food! I recommend going there to taste new cuisine & getting to know better afghan cuisine! The service is good & you can bring your own wine & celebrate with friends!
What a great restaurant! Very charming atmosphere! Food was amazing! My husband was dragging his feet, not wanting to try something new. He was very glad we did! Our waitress was great at explaining the different menu options, etc. She was telling us that her Mom is the cook/owner. Also great that you can bring your own wine. We highly recommend this restaurant!
This restaurant here became my favorite in Montreal!! This a must go restaurant if you ever in Montreal or live here it's a must!! I loveeeeee the food!!! Everything on the menu was delicious!! My family loved the place! I would definitely recommend this amazing restaurant! It really feels like home!! The owner & the staff are so welcoming & so friendly! The hospitality was off the charts! I am definitely coming back more!! I'm so grateful I found a new spot in MTL. I promise you'll love it.

Really beautiful place & delicious food! The service was slow because there was only 2 servers for the whole restaurant but overall the food made up for it. Not many vegetarian options but the one I got was delicious either way! Everything tasted fresh, I'm really glad we took the chance on a new restaurant! It was the perfect introduction to Afghan food. Would recommend! But patient when you go.
Food was ok, service was very bad we had to wait for a long time to get anything food menu bill.. I would not recommend
