There are some items on the menu which may not strike your as being first choice, but they should be. Hint: try the sandwich... You will thank me later. If it's Polish, & you need it, it will probably be here.

Nice place all things considered, but you need to know what to expect. Definitely Polish diaspora styled business. Food is great, selection is amazing given the footprint of the store. One star short of 5 because I think they're a little more expensive than other comparable places. The questions that Google asks about this store are irrelevant, this is not a restaurant but a small grocery with a couple of tables where you can consume your purchases.

As a Slav, I can confirm this place is legit. I got the half size Polish plate, it was great. Kranski & the sauerkraut were the highlights, along with the salad. Delicious!

You must get the tripe soup. Hands down the best thing there. I shared the meal for 2 which was very good but the soup is the only must have IMO. Do not try to split meal 3 ways. It is just enough for 2.

I bought some of the frozen potato dumplings & it is easy to overcook so watch them like a hawk. I enjoyed them much more at the restaurant.

One of my favourite stores in Montreal, to shop for home or eat on the spot. Delicious home made pierogies, meat, cakes & pastries & all sorts of imported polish products. The homemade meals you can eat on the spot are yummy as well!
