Euro-Deli Batory offers a vintage charm and an old school deli vibe that feels welcoming and full of character, where great food and genuine hospitality stay at the center; reviews highlight fair prices, generous portions that satisfy without overpaying, and a staff that is friendly, attentive, and warm, making newcomers feel like regulars; cleanliness is consistently emphasized with a spotless space from the kitchen to the dining area; the menu features authentic Polish dishes and items such as bigos, sauerkraut, pierogies, Polski Talerz, paczki, and a small grocery section with takeout options; a note about the pierogies mentions they were not pan fried as expected but remained flavorful and enjoyable; the place works well as takeout or a small dine-in spot with limited seating, and many call it a hidden gem and a great value that invites a return visit with friends and family; overall the impression is hearty, comforting home cooking and genuinely kind hospitality.
Authentic polish delicacies in a cozy shop with eastern european food staples. I had the polish saisage on a bun & a ham & pea soup. Both were freshly made, very hearty & filling. Would reccomend.
If you're looking for a place that feels like stepping back in time-in the best way possible-Euro Deli Batory absolutely delivers.
From the moment you walk in, there's this unmistakable vintage charm that's getting harder & harder to find these days. It has that old-school deli atmosphere-unpretentious, welcoming, & full of character-where the focus is exactly where it should be: great food & genuine hospitality.
Speaking of the food, the pricing is refreshingly fair. In a time where many spots seem to be pushing the limits, this place keeps it real. You get generous portions that actually leave you satisfied, & you never feel like you're overpaying. It's the kind of value that makes you want to come back regularly, not just for special occasions.
The staff deserves a shoutout too-friendly, attentive, & warm without being overbearing. They make you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit, which really adds to the overall experience.
Cleanliness is clearly a priority here. The entire establishment is spotless, which just reinforces the sense that they take pride in what they do-from the kitchen to the dining area.
The only small note I'd mention is the pierogies. They weren't pan-fried as expected, which would have added that extra crisp & texture. That said, they were still enjoyable & full of flavor, so it didn't take away from the experience in any major way.
All in all, this is the kind of place that sticks with you. Great atmosphere, fair prices, hearty portions, & genuinely kind people. I'll definitely be coming back-& next time, I'm bringing friends & family along for the ride.

Low-key diner/deli counter with authentic Polish food & a small grocery section. The variety platter was great, staff was nice, fun place for a quick lunch.
Excellent Polish'Deli' that makes authentic Polish dishes. The prices are reasonable with generous portions cooked fresh. We were 3 friends of whuch 1 is Polish & he brought us here for a delicious lunch. There are not many tables & tightly spaced but its friendly.
Cuisine polonaise absolument délicieuse. Nous avons pris l'assiette pour deux'Polski Talerz', ce qui nous a permis de goûter un peu à tout.
Ils ont des options pour les végétariens.
Better as takeout because the seating area is small. But it's REALLY good home cooking traditional Polish food. Highly recommend the polski talerz which is a mix of things. & the frozen sausage rolls are also excellent.
I ordered perogies, a pea soup & a sausage & it was one of the most delicious meals ever.
Perogies melt in your mouth, you can tell they were handmade with a lot of heart ❤?
Great little gem in Mile-End. It is primarily a grocery store with a deli corner & sit down corner where you can order some Polish dishes.
The food is good & homey. Expect lots of potatoes, cabbages & deli meats (which we love)
We ordered 1/2 Polish Plate (Polski Talerz), sandwich (Kanapka), potato pancake with sour cream (Placki Ziemniaczane), & a slice of cherry cheesecake.
A little more expensive than I thought, the little cheesecake piece was 6$ but it was not very big, still excellent in taste, so worth every penny.
Perfect type of comfort food for this snowy & cold weather.
Very popular grocery store with great service.
First time trying Batory & everything was as delicious as homemade Polish food. We got the Polski talerz , two kinds of pierogi, cherry cake, paczki, barley soup, go?abki (3 per order in the meal option), & the potato patties (3 large ones per order). The order arrived with fresh rye bread & butter. Everything is so fresh & the portions are generous. The staff is also very nice. This is our new favourite Polish place to order from, we will be ordering again.
