We tried Haitian food for the first time. The staff was extremely friendly, patient & the food was great !!!

J'ai adoré la nourriture! Elle a l'odeur & le gout du terroir. Le tassot de cabrit, le poulet, le saumon, le riz, les bannanes pesées. Tous ces plats ont font un énorme bien à nos papilles gustatives. J'y retournerai, c'est sûr!

Il m'est rare de savourer un repas du début à la fin (apéro/bouchées, plat, etc.) & cela a été le cas chez Essence 1804. Bouffe de qualité & bien savoureuse 🤤, bon service, je me suis bien régalé! Svp, ayez toujours de la Prestige 😊.

Cuisine excellente! Tout était à point. Mais niveau du service, bien que très chaleureux, manque de rigueur sur les breuvage, pas de bière (en pleine canicule), pas de vin(aucun offert). A la fin du repas, pas de dessert offert. Bonne Musique d ambiance, mais restau vide un dimanche après-midi

Wow, quelle belle découverte!! J'ai eu la chance de souper dans ce resto haïtien cette semaine, & honnêtement…tout était parfait! La nourriture est délicieuse, pleine de saveurs, bien assaisonnée! Les portions sont généreuses & tout était frais, bien chaud, préparé avec soin. L'endroit est très propre & chaleureux! Le service était rapide, efficace, vraiment rien à dire.
Mention spéciale au proprio : tellement gentil & attentionné, ça ajoute un vibe humain qu'on ne retrouve pas partout. On sent vraiment qu'il aime ce qu'il fait & qu'il prend soin de ses clients.
C'est définitivement un endroit où je vais retourner régulièrement. Si vous cherchez un bon resto haïtien avec de la bonne bouffe, une belle ambiance & un bon service, n'hésitez pas! 🇭🇹💛

Tried this place on a whim while walking down the street, best decision ever! The griot Mac n cheese is some of the best comfort food I've had ever. I had this yesterday & I'm actually tempted to go back again today for more I can't stop thinking about it… 10/10 recommend, glad to have found this gem!

amazing food & great service! while there was no menu in english, the owner was very nice & explained everything to us. also we just googled some menu items so really no issue there. no cocktails were available unfortunately :((
food was also very tasty & the portions were a good size. the goat was flavorful & fried to perfection. the pork, similar to the goat, was also very good & had the same sides. the shrimp creole spaghetti reminded me of classic homecooking, the flavors & spices balanced out nicely. the chicken was juicy & had lots of fried goodies on the side. overall this was a very comforting meal. highly recommend coming here if you get the chance!!

This restaurant is a gem, the food is absolutely incredible!! Rich, flavorful, & so satisfying. I had the mac & cheese, griot, plantains, rice, & every bite was perfect. The griot & the mac & cheese was comfort food at its best. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The staff were warm, welcoming, & genuinely kind. It's family owned, & you can feel the care in both the food & the atmosphere. I 100% recommend this place & will definitely be coming back.

What a lovely first experience & great discovery. Came here with my friend & both loved everything! Plus the owner Ricardo is so sweet, can't wait to come back when they open the terrace.

My partner & I visited this restaurant on a trip to Montreal. The owner (?) was so kind & helpful to find something I could eat (& enjoy) as a vegetarian - even bringing out a little sample before I decided my order. The food was delicious, & my partner (who is part Haitian) was so happy with the flavours. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a taste of Haiti 🤍

Tout était excellent ! Si vous voulez manger de l'haïtien ce restaurant est la perfection. Les saveurs sont uniques & la place très propre, accueillante & dans une belle ambiance. Je recommande fortement !

Tout était parfait du début à la fin. La cuisine faite maison est délicieuse, nous avons pris 5 plats différents & tous ont fait l'unanimité !
L'ambiance & le service étaient exceptionnels, nous y retournerons sans hésiter !
