We went to Escondite Drummond with coworkers & had a really fun night. Great Latin music & a lively vibe, plus the staff was super friendly & welcoming. The food is Mexican-inspired & overall decent, but not the most authentic Mexican in Montreal. Prices felt a bit on the higher side, but it's a solid spot for drinks, atmosphere, & a group outing.

Came to this restaurant with my father on a Friday night. My father's order was delayed. Which it happens in a restaurant. They not only not charge us the specific meal that was late but also gave us a dessert on the house. They were very apologetic about the incident. Great service. Something that I haven't seen much in Montreal & some of the horror stories I've experienced in other places for the same incident. To top it off, the food was great too. Lastly, the ambiance was great & very authentic Mexican. Highly recommend
Fast food/street food in some kind of Mexican tapas style. Prices did not correspond to food quality & quantity, in relation to other restaurants in the same area.

It was my first experience of a Mexican restaurant, & I'm happy to find this place! We ordered two tacos (one with the steak & the other with the fried chicken) & it was so delicious that we re-ordered the same thing! Although I believe that the guacamole was a little bit pricy. Staff were really professional. Edit: I came again & still everything was perfect, specially the waiters (I guess one was Antares?) were professional & super friendly!

Our recent visit was a delightful experience! We opted for the chef's special for our group, which offered a fantastic variety of tacos & appetizers. The fish tacos, topped with fresh red cabbage, were the absolute highlight. The combination of tender, flavorful fish & the crisp, tangy cabbage created a perfect balance. The restaurant's colorful ambiance & interesting layout added to the overall experience, making it a great spot for a casual night out with friends or a business meeting lunch. It is a perfect middle-of-the-road restaurant that offers delicious Mexican food & a lively atmosphere. A must-visit for anyone in downtown Montreal looking to enjoy great tacos in a vibrant setting!
Very friendly place that rescued us in a pourring rain summer evening. The overall set-up is nice & looks like a genuine cantina. Food is not classic mexican. Tasty but small bites only. The lemon cake is fantastic
Went for lunch . This Mexican restaurant serves high end Mexican food. I had 2 shrimps tacos. Portions are small but it was the best tacos I have ever had. My friend had pomegranate nachos, she gave it & 11 out of 10 . I would go back in a heartbeat. I had homemade key lime pie for dessert. So good. & a margarita.
The food is very good, the vibe is nice. That being said - charging $3 for the salsa... really? First time in my life I pay for salsa in a mexican restaurant. It's like charging for ketchup for your fries. Doesn't make any sense. You should definitely change that.
