Escondite Drummond is always a great spot & one of my favourite places to go for a fun, authentic Mexican vibe in Montreal.
The atmosphere is lively, warm, & inviting, with a decor & energy that make it feel like more than just a regular restaurant. It's the kind of place that works for many different occasions, whether you're going out with friends, grabbing drinks, having a casual dinner, or starting a night out.
The staff have always been welcoming, friendly, & genuinely nice to talk to, which really adds to the overall experience. Every time I've been, the service has been warm & relaxed, & it makes the place feel even more enjoyable.
I strongly recommend sitting at the bar if you can. It's a great way to enjoy the atmosphere, chat with the staff, & try some of their cocktails. Their margaritas & mezcalitas are really good - fresh, balanced, & exactly what you want from a Mexican-inspired spot.
The food has also always been fresh & tasty. Everything I've tried has had great flavour, & the overall experience feels consistent every time.
Overall, Escondite Drummond is a great choice if you're looking for good Mexican food, excellent cocktails, a fun vibe, & friendly service. Highly recommend for pretty much any occasion.

Les tacos de birria & les ribs remportent la palme, sans hésitation.
Service chaleureux, rapide pis efficace, le genre de service qui te donne le goût de revenir.
Les restant de ribs, ça vous donne une idée à quel point elles étaient bonnes.
We requested a table for 6 people & also requested to arrive early due to a play off game. Normally the restaurant doesn't open until 5 pm however they were ready for us at 4:00 pm with fantastic service, food & drinks. Great jugs of margaritas!! Server was super sweet & efficient & walked us through the menu with wonderful recommendations. We will all go back next time we are in Montreal!
It's a fair place for fun with friends. Food is quite good although not many choices & it's fusion Mexican. Drinks are crazy expensive, 19$ for a classic 125ml margarita is abusive. Good location near Bell centre.
